  • The boys were my dad's first cousins. Their dad is my Kalaa Janice's brother.

  • This documentary covers SO many issues it's quite astounding. Race, abuse, adoption, native american treatment, interracial families etc.. It was very well done and struck quite a chord with me. Thank you to the makers, and to PBS, and Independent Lens.

  • Saw this last night on PBS. I was very moved and touched by this documentary. Very well done. I highly recommend this to every human being.

  • so so, good - heartbreaking, and well done, it funny what kids all around the world have to go through. very sad very real

  • Lost Sparrow will premier on the PBS series Independent Lens on Tuesday, Nov. 16 2010 at 10 pm. Check your local listings for broadcast times in your area.

  • I saw this movie yesterday. Very touching.

I myself come from the Taino Indian and it so sad to see what happened.

I to was abused by my father. So to see this brought up alot of emotions.

But to still have Thanksgiving with Dad after all of this with 21 Nieces and nephews... Shows the kids are still not protected. My father does not have the pleasure of seeing my kids. My kids know about Grandpa and when they get older can have a relationship if they chose to. My Job as mom is to protect them

  • The gov't of Canada has apologized to Indians for residential school abuse, yet even today thousands of native children are still stolen by the gov't and put in foster hell.

Indians however are starting to ban CPS from reserves; in this respect, they have a great advantage over whites, who have no such power.

CPS is the same everywhere, as is adoption. A corrupt, evil enterprise, destroying the most innocent and vulnerable.

  • why so many views but no comments?

Adoption whether it is white, black, red or yellow, is wrong. Hundreds of thousands of whites kids are stolen by CPS and adopted out as well. It's not really an issue of race, it's government (largely) abuse of power - essentially kidnapping children, child trafficking. Millions make their living participating in these crimes, from hospital workers to drug companies who supply drugs to foster children to keep them doped up so they are easier to handle.
