As unconvincing as darkassbastard's name is, I can see his/her point. If we always had peace, we wouldn't be able to be grateful for it. Hello again appregios. Nice to see you again. Uh, you posted a comment on my profile, but I didn't quite fully understand what you meant? I assumed, freedom of speech and expression will soon be no more?
War is part of nature! War is as much a part of life as peace! Stop dreaming of world peace... it is war that makes the world go round! Without war we would never apreciate peace and vice versa. War is and always has been the nr 1 factor of human development. As long as humans compete there will be war, and when we stop competing, we will die out! Peace is all good, but be realistic people!
War has also been the number one factor of our demise. Think how many millions, even billions, of lives lost prematurely. Although in our time, for the most part, it is a persons choice to join an army or not. But not in times past. It's silly as good as saying that we would not survive without war, that's limiting our abilities. Humans are good at adjusting and adapting to new ideas and surroundings.
But isnt it this exact ability to adapt to new ideas that leades to clashes between ideologys? I say i have the best idea for this, you say you have the best idea for that, and then we go to war either with words and when that fails we go to war with arms! I still say war is as natural as thinking and breathing! I also wish that we could all live in peace, but i dont think its possible or even natural for us humans to do so!

I totally agree with you on the war being over part, hungryrock. We've been fed lies about this war, the reason is so that the people at the top can make lots of money off of people's suffering. They are dividing us.
Freedom is not free. I would rather be fighting for democracy liberty etc than living in a peaceful facist police state.
Unfortunatly this is one of the arguments terrorists use. I would add that while there are some elements of government and society which is corupt or imoral, for the most part I am very lucky to the in the west(UK).
Bringing 'American' troops home to 'America' is not likely to bring about world peace, now is it? There wasn't world peace before Iraq and most likely not afterwards either. This video is about the 'world as a whole' not America. Not all eyes look to the USA, you know?
this is so true. it almost made me cry that the world is so sucky....>.>...it makes me so mad that world is so greedy and mean....*sigh* i hope it changes...soon
Apparently this world is full of hate, no matter your race, nationality or religion...someone, somewhere in this world hates you for what you are and what you stand for. Most people find more reason to hate then to love, it's a shame. It is sad, I agree, but it is the kind of world we live in now.
Like it or not our world is controlled by the Threat of Action of force. If you don't believe that then the argument stops there. It is an un even playiing field we are on. We have to lower or civility to survive!
A Very Nice video, (gave me goose bumps!) I think we are like little pawns caught in a very powerful ancient game. Wars will always take place between men and their countries. Yin will always interact with Yang. Conservative vs. liberal, high vs. low, hot vs. cold. But whether we choose to play the game is up to us...
we didnt take over your territorys in the war, we just left it, aand gave you funds to help you rebuild, the least you morons can do is send reserves, resources etc, instead of your usual whineing.
cheers to american down with the stupid terrirosts who thinking blowing yourself up, and killing a group of people will lead you to heaven
you dont see mass killings or mass rapes of the people in iraq no?
If we really wanted to we could have blitzed all of the world by then and there.
All you eurpoean countries out there who dont support the war, remember all you dunces got saved by america numerous times.weve gave money, and resources to you when you needed it most after your wars,
I am seroisuly annoyed with all you people whineing about the war, if we really wanted to take iraq and add another star to our flag we would have killed every man, woman and child of iraq, all those small cases of atrocities are greatly exaggerateed by the morons at the us networks,
Are you aware of the fact that the USA has given more around the globe to eradicate AIDS, hunger, genocide, and poverty than any other country? It's true. That being said, why is the USA so terrible in your view? Can you see the beneficial side of the USA's efforts in the region of the middle east or are you so blinded by your hatred that you cannot?
firstly, i do not hate the USA and I never said so. Also, I never said that I don't recognize the good deeds of Your country. But there is one fact that you missed out on: no one agreed on the matter of WMD's.
no one agreed? That is an outright lie. They disagreed about whether war was the right response, and whether the threat was real. If no one agreed, Clinton would not have bombed Iraq in 1998, there would be no reasons for inspectors, and Blix would not have concluded that Iraq failed to prove it disarmed like the 3 other countries (before Libya) did. Iraq had the burden of proving they had no weapons, they failed to do so.
That the forgery of the US administration is true has already been approved by the British government, and the fact that the US were trying to sideline the UN at the beginning of 2003 doesn't make things seem more trustworthy. As for this, many people have a reason misttrust the US in case of the Iraqi war
Blackraven, the entire congress and senate gave us the right to invade Iraq if my memory serves me right. Intelligence the world over agreed that Iraq had WMD's! Get over it! You just cant over "who gave us the right" 9-11 gave us the right! What will happen if we cut and run? Do you care? Why arent you raving against the attrocities being commited around the world by Jihadists? Why is the USA criminal in your mind? You are a socialist and we will fight on without your silly rhetoric.
To be precise, the expert staff under Hans Blix never came back from Iraq with any what so ever proof of the existence of WMD's. Moreover, what they found out was that the Bush administration used forged documents and shaky evidence as a pretext to go to Iraq. In one case US intelligence failed to identify a fake document in which it said that Iraq tried to buy Uranium of Niger.
Hans Blix explicitly stated Iraq was not in compliance with UN resolution 1441, which, stated, failure to comply would "result in serious consequences." It did. The forged docs came from France clueless, look it up. Everyone thought Iraq had WMDs, even those opposed to the war. This is why there were 17 resolutions and 10+ yrs of sanctions.
Does it matter where the documents came from? And how sure are you that forgery was solely committed by France? Point is that the US and British Gov. made use of these documents as a pretext to send troops to Iraq. The results of the UN inspectors who investigated in the matter of WMD were not evident enough to claim that Iraq did posses WMDs.
I've wasted more than enough time on you friend. You're simple. The UN never concluded before the war that Iraq didn't have WMDs, had they, Iraq would not have been in breach of UN resolution 1441. You need to get your facts straight. I've educated you enough. Try doing some research and take a class in critical thinking.
Peace at what cost? Who will 'guard the gates' while we are all singing around the campfire? Is there ANY doubt that alquaeda would use nukes if they get them? They're working 7/24 to destroy us! I'm not willing to let my family live under Sharia law...are you? "A universal peace, it is to be feared, is in the catalogue of events which will never exist but in the imaginations of visionary philosophers, or in the breasts of benevolent enthusiasts." —James Madison
The problem with just leaving iraq for whatever reason, is what will follow...if a terrorist regime takes power, they will have billions in oil profits to fund terrorism against the USA and its allies. This will NOT stand. Fight on against Jihadist scum buckets and socialist pigs.
Blackraven, who would you rather have the oil now? Forget about why the US is in Iraq! ...a Jihad organization bent on bringing the apocalypse by destroying all christians and all jews and all infidels, or America who stands for democracy? Besides do you think the people of iraq ever saw one dime of all that oil money? Most Iraqis lived in poverty with gasoline shortages! Would you rather see a democracy or a cruel dictatorship in Iraq? You sond like a socialist pig...
i sure am not a socialist pig, but is democracy what you call the censorship of the press? and concerning the oil: i never said that the iraqi people ever saw a dime of their oil money, but will they now? of course its not nice to see a country in dictator ship, but who the f*** gave america the right to invade those peoples country? the UN sure didn't. and just because US troops are there right now doesn't eman that everything is better than before, because it isn't
"you call the censorship of the press?" the press is barely censored, if at all. They show al qaeda videos and bash the gov't nighty. Compared to the wars of Truman and FDR, this is the most free ever. "who...gave america the right to invade" do you mean bosnia, kosovo, haiti, or sudan (as requested)? America, Europe, Japan, none were better during or right after their wars. FYI - the UN doesn't have to approve military action, as of right now at least, countries are still sovereign.
censoreship of the press, yes. do you live in america? if so, then you can't judge my remark becuase you might just as well be blinded. they show al qaida videos...great! thats just a proof for the fact that ur govt. lets you see what it wants u to see, cuz those are the videos supporting your presence in iraq. and my question was: who gave the US the right to move into iraq. noone requested fpr this.
Yes I live in America clown. Yes, I'm blinded. You're an idiot. The gov't doesn't control the press you moron, see the NYTIMES NSA issue. Gov't told NYT not to release info, Times did. The US gov't did at one time supress info, under FDR and Truman, and tries to convince the press to not publish stuff, but ultimately the press decides on their own, and often against the US' wishes. You are clueless. Showing videos of troops getting shot by snipers does not support our prescence there you moron.
Well sorry for offending your personal patriotism and crap, but did I insult you? Maybe you should calm down a little, ok? And it is a proven fact that the US media is influenced. Tell, me: what is the real (not official) reason for US troops being stationed in iraq? I would like to hear this from you. As a US citizen
1. this has nothing to do with patriotism. 2. Yes you insulted me by suggesting I am blind and by defaming my country. Maybe you should think before posting and not post about that which you know little. Your question has no nexus to censorship. Influence and censorship are worlds apart.
and yes, countires are still a sovereign. but the task of the UN is to coopertae on international matters, which can't work if the US continues to go its own stubborn way. the US were mostly respnsible for the establishment of the united nations which seemded a good idea, but things don't seem to work as long as the US only follow own interests instead of international ones
The UN was not created as a new world order to supplant any nation's sovereignty. Sorry we're not sheep, but I'd prefer to do what's right for our nation than follow the herd. E.g. Kyoto. The international interests want us to enact Kyoto at the cost of $B. We've done a better job of cutting CO2 emissions by going at it alone and not enacting Kyoto than those countries who have. Sometimes thinking for yourself is better than following.
"The UN was not created as a new world order to supplant any nation's sovereignty."
I never said so, maybe reading and understanding what is being written might be of help. Don't interpret wrong matters into what I say.
here a definition of the UN: "The United Nations (UN) is an international organization whose stated aims are to facilitate co-operation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress and human rights issues"
When you say we are problematic b/c we don't follow the herd, you are advocating a world order - all march in lockstep. Write coherent English that expresses your point of view. "facilitate co-operation" not require all to agree on everything. The word is facilitate, not require or compel. Moreover, nothing in the UN charter requires one mindedness; to the contrary, nations have inherent rights to protect their best interests, under the UN charter and international law.
If you wish to know why we are in Iraq, read the authorization to use force in Iraq, it spells it out. If you need further information, read the White House's webpage dedicated to this issue, or read the statements submitted by the US generals, or by the Iraqi gov't.
sorry if my english isn't as good and coherent as you wish, but english also isn't my mother tongue.
no, I never said that the members of the Un are obliged to anything. I said "but the task of the UN is to coopertae on international matters", it doesn't directly suggest obligation, but I admit: the word "task" is badly chosen. replace "task" by "aim", "goal" or "object" and you get what I mean.
These semantical disagreements don't change anything. Your point was that we're a problem because we deviate from international consensus. That's not always a bad thing, contrary to your point of view. Most of the international community wanted to do nothing about Hitler, i.e. the League of Nations. They were wrong. Most joined Kyoto, they've done worse than us who didn't.
Well to be more precise: the whole reason WHY I am posting here is to express my disagreement with the war on Iraq for which I have a very good reason. All I have done so far is present acknowledged facts about this situation. I have reposted to dbart27 further down in case of the forgery scandal from 2003, naming another reason for the lack of trustworthyness of the USA concerning this particular war.
The argument was 1) the US gov't controls the media, untrue; influence, yes, control, no. 2) that the US is problematic b/c it doesn't always follow the international community. I said that's not always a bad thing. That's what we've been arguing about the whole time.
well i must have been missing out on something. The media influences the media, yes, I expressed myself wrongly and appologized. But it seemed to me that you have been trying to contradict me totally in everything that has been said.
And secondly, I wouldn't say that the matter about the US "not following the international community" was one of (at least not one of MY) major topics. And I also never used the term "international community"
1. I corrected you when you've been wrong. 2. ur words: "if the US continues to go its own stubborn way...things don't seem to work as long as the US only follow own interests instead of international ones" so, if we don't follow the international community as per little boy u, we're problematic. Look, have a nice life guy I'd rather be laying drunk in my own piss then continue this discussion.
Go ahead, I'm not stopping you. But maybe you are the one who should start thinking critically. If you deny the fact that the USA follows own interests when it comes down to situations like these, then you are simply naiv. There we have to consider which one of us is the simple one...besides, where did I state that the UN did not say that Iraq had WMDs? I was only speaking of disagreement in terms of authorizing a war
I NEVER DENIED THAT ILLITERATE! I said not following the herd is not a bad thing at times. THE UN DOESN'T HAVE TO AUTHORIZE WAR YOU MORON, sovereign nations have inherent rights. You're a clueless kid. Thanks for pissing me off and wasting 2 hours of my life.
you took 2 hours to read what I said and respond to it? I don't think I ever forced you to bother with me.
And yes, authorization quite is a correct term in this situation. I am not talking about prohibiting or stopping a country from acting in it's own facon. Maybe it ought to be time you start looking up shit before insulting others dammit
Please wake up all of you who hate war...you may not want a war, but a war wants you...so what are you going to do, go hide your head in the sand while Jihad plots to rape your women, destroy your country and kill all the christians and jews? Its not pretty I know but that does not change the fact that somewhere in this world, a war wants YOU!
That is true. Very well said, thank you for your input. I like that way of thinking, it's rational. Somewhere in the world someone wants 'you' dead for whatever reason, be it belief, nationality...etc Good point dbert27.
your whole industry is based on the production of war machinery, which means: no war, no industry, no wealth. only few americans see this way because your media is in control of the government who only lets you see what it wants you to see. it is obvious that the US are not on a mission for good will, this is their kind of economical business. or are you saying that weapons of mass destruction have been found in iraq?
1. Why is it that every American bashing post I read on this site is from a German under the age of 25? 2. Do said Germans fail to recognize the irony and comedy inherent in their comments, particularly those about the gov't controlling the media? Other than radical arabs, I find young Germans to be the most ignorant about America; however, having surveyed their media, it's no wonder. Furthermore, their history demonstrates they aren't the world's most noted critical or free thinkers.
1. The point of referring to German history is not very suitable in this case for these issues have happened over 60 years ago. I know my history very well, but I am not directly affected by it and today, Germany is as democratic as any other modern democracy (which YOU by the way have brought to us). Relating the world wide anti-americanism to the long gone national socialism in Germany is very irrelevant and wide fetched.
I'm going to chalk it up as a language issue rather than conclude that you are an utter moron. The referrence to your past was about media control. It's ironic you would talk of propaganda coming from Germany. Moreover, even today your media is monolithic and far from objective.
2. It is not only Germans who are ignorant about the USA, i would go as far to say that the whole of Europe has come to disagree on the American war fare business. Reducing this all to one nation and refering to history trying to underline your arguments is not very suitable in this case. Up to now I have only presented facts, I never intended to offend you or any American as an individual. All i have done was criticise the regime.
Ignorance about the US and disagreeing are two entirely different things. Yeah, Europe disagrees with "the american war fare business" except Bosnia right? Kosovo? Sudan? Please, you euros are utter hypocrites. My reference to young ingornant germans was about your stupid comments about the US gov't controlling the media, not about disagreeing about the war. Clueless
And I am surely not inventing my arguments, nor am I intending to criticise the US or its citizens in common. And what does my "ignorance" have to do with my nationality?
Nothing. I cited a pattern. Lots of similar statements as those you've made, when I look up the profiles of the person posting, are the same as you - young germans. Perhaps it's the in thing there, a reflection of the media, pop culture...who knows.
There is no "in thing" over here concerning the Iraq war to be precise...
I hardly beleive I would follow a common pattern just because it might be considered as cool or in. I rather stick to own opinions
I would be interested in your opinion though: Do you rather support the war on Iraq or don't you? Completely in disregard any further arguments about its legitimacy etc.
here you have to differentiate: did america go to war on iraq in fight for world peace and in fight against the jihads world view? or did america go to iraq to insure themselves some more oil for the next few years before ressources run out entirely? of course war is inevitable sometimes, but war is the thing that america lives of.
This video is not about America or Iraq. It's about war as a whole. It's about people wanting peace over war or in some cases, people wanting war to bring peace. Don't think that 'everything' is about America. Because it is not.
I HATE war.. i HATE it. for every video I see, more and more tears keeps coming. I wish that Bush could see this. Then maybe he would understand.. I just cant wait for the new election. Hope for a female president. or a dark skinned.
The potential female president is a woman who voted for war in Iraq, who's husband waged 5 wars: Iraq, Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, and bombed a chinese embassy and a pharmaceutical facility in Sudan. Dark skinned? Like the genocidal animals in Africa? The combination of your racism (anti white) and sexism (anti male)and ignornace demonstrates why non rational folks like you should be kept far away from decision making.
The New Order with the american corporations with the weapon industries are behind the war!!!Blame the north american government!!!!Die BUSH!!!After that we gonna have some peace!!!
To have world peace we have to execute all the terrorists and racists all over the world. If they hadn't fucked with us then Bush wouldn't be doing the stupid shit he is doing today.
The real rulers of the world are international corporations. Bankers such as the Rothschilds family and their cronies. The evil satanic bastards.
War was invented long before the USA, and if the USA wasn't causing death and destruction for the profit of the globalist corporations, another power would be doing it instead. Nations are but pawn to be swallowed up by the New World Order.
THe Answer is tolerance and acceptence for example dont obligate the orient to live our western life they have their different culture, and also dont put all to a pot is not the islam one side and we western christians on the other there also living muslims here in spain europe western side who pays the taxes tell stories, marry have child makes us laugh love and cry, the pobrlem they want a new cold war the americangov, this is a big problem.. A BIG...
Costa Rica have abandoned their armed forces for something like 50 years. Since then they haven't invaded anyone, or been invaded. Is this a lesson to the rest of the world? Imagine America without its giant army. Wonderful isn't it?
I Can't Really Imagine Myself Speaking Chineese, Or Arabic. Have A Hard Time Imagining Never Being Able To Go State-To-State Without Proper Papers Either.
Nobody hates Costa Rica, but most of the world hates us. Without an army, we would be taken apart by China, Venezuela, Mexico, and the Islamic fascists. We know better than the rest of the world what is right. You have no appreciation for the military because you don't realize they protect your life and freedom.
because it's in the western hemisphere where the US is they wouldn't invade cause the US and Canada and some other central american countries would kill the army who invaded
This vid brought a tear to my eye (I'm such a softy sometimes!lol). Could you imagine just how far we could all develop if everyone just put down their guns?!
never going to happen, you seen the film equalibrium? if so then thats the only way in which peace would ever happen, in turn taking away every human rights we have
yah talking with a drugy who imagines world domination and a suicidal person who imagines the same thing we could really stop WWII that way by talking to them
yeah you would have to change you're "tube"for a start you big "softy" could YOU imagine how far we could get then .remember the internet is a cast off from the cold war so shut it pishface go play a game or watch some porn wanker
the US would help but everytime we put our gun down we get shot at and heres some examples Pearl Harbor Lusitania sinking Nazi spies U-boats so the US doesn't want to put down it's gun because when we do u guys take a shot at us
I'm not supporting peace but the picture where u see american women standing together with irak is amazing (Y)

A Very Nice video, (gave me goose bumps!) I think we are like little pawns caught in a very powerful ancient game. Wars will always take place between men and their countries. Yin will always interact with Yang. Conservative vs. liberal, high vs. low, hot vs. cold. But whether we choose to play the game is up to us...

Are you aware of the fact that the USA has given more around the globe to eradicate AIDS, hunger, genocide, and poverty than any other country? It's true. That being said, why is the USA so terrible in your view? Can you see the beneficial side of the USA's efforts in the region of the middle east or are you so blinded by your hatred that you cannot?
dbart27 5 years ago
firstly, i do not hate the USA and I never said so. Also, I never said that I don't recognize the good deeds of Your country. But there is one fact that you missed out on: no one agreed on the matter of WMD's.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
no one agreed? That is an outright lie. They disagreed about whether war was the right response, and whether the threat was real. If no one agreed, Clinton would not have bombed Iraq in 1998, there would be no reasons for inspectors, and Blix would not have concluded that Iraq failed to prove it disarmed like the 3 other countries (before Libya) did. Iraq had the burden of proving they had no weapons, they failed to do so.
birdyb24 5 years ago
That the forgery of the US administration is true has already been approved by the British government, and the fact that the US were trying to sideline the UN at the beginning of 2003 doesn't make things seem more trustworthy. As for this, many people have a reason misttrust the US in case of the Iraqi war
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
Blackraven, the entire congress and senate gave us the right to invade Iraq if my memory serves me right. Intelligence the world over agreed that Iraq had WMD's! Get over it! You just cant over "who gave us the right" 9-11 gave us the right! What will happen if we cut and run? Do you care? Why arent you raving against the attrocities being commited around the world by Jihadists? Why is the USA criminal in your mind? You are a socialist and we will fight on without your silly rhetoric.
dbart27 5 years ago
To be precise, the expert staff under Hans Blix never came back from Iraq with any what so ever proof of the existence of WMD's. Moreover, what they found out was that the Bush administration used forged documents and shaky evidence as a pretext to go to Iraq. In one case US intelligence failed to identify a fake document in which it said that Iraq tried to buy Uranium of Niger.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
Hans Blix explicitly stated Iraq was not in compliance with UN resolution 1441, which, stated, failure to comply would "result in serious consequences." It did. The forged docs came from France clueless, look it up. Everyone thought Iraq had WMDs, even those opposed to the war. This is why there were 17 resolutions and 10+ yrs of sanctions.
birdyb24 5 years ago
Does it matter where the documents came from? And how sure are you that forgery was solely committed by France? Point is that the US and British Gov. made use of these documents as a pretext to send troops to Iraq. The results of the UN inspectors who investigated in the matter of WMD were not evident enough to claim that Iraq did posses WMDs.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
I've wasted more than enough time on you friend. You're simple. The UN never concluded before the war that Iraq didn't have WMDs, had they, Iraq would not have been in breach of UN resolution 1441. You need to get your facts straight. I've educated you enough. Try doing some research and take a class in critical thinking.
birdyb24 5 years ago
they never had to come back with proof that Iraq had WMDs, Iraq had to prove they did not have them. Read the resolutions.

Peace at what cost? Who will 'guard the gates' while we are all singing around the campfire? Is there ANY doubt that alquaeda would use nukes if they get them? They're working 7/24 to destroy us! The problem with just leaving iraq for whatever reason, is what will follow...if a terrorist regime takes power, they will have billions in oil profits to fund terrorism against the USA and its allies. This will NOT stand. Fight on against Jihadist scum buckets and socialist pigs.
dbart27 5 years ago
Blackraven, who would you rather have the oil now? Forget about why the US is in Iraq! ...a Jihad organization bent on bringing the apocalypse by destroying all christians and all jews and all infidels, or America who stands for democracy? Besides do you think the people of iraq ever saw one dime of all that oil money? Most Iraqis lived in poverty with gasoline shortages! Would you rather see a democracy or a cruel dictatorship in Iraq? You sond like a socialist pig...
dbart27 5 years ago
i sure am not a socialist pig, but is democracy what you call the censorship of the press? and concerning the oil: i never said that the iraqi people ever saw a dime of their oil money, but will they now? of course its not nice to see a country in dictator ship, but who the f*** gave america the right to invade those peoples country? the UN sure didn't. and just because US troops are there right now doesn't eman that everything is better than before, because it isn't
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
"you call the censorship of the press?" the press is barely censored, if at all. They show al qaeda videos and bash the gov't nighty. Compared to the wars of Truman and FDR, this is the most free ever. "who...gave america the right to invade" do you mean bosnia, kosovo, haiti, or sudan (as requested)? America, Europe, Japan, none were better during or right after their wars. FYI - the UN doesn't have to approve military action, as of right now at least, countries are still sovereign.
birdyb24 5 years ago
censoreship of the press, yes. do you live in america? if so, then you can't judge my remark becuase you might just as well be blinded. they show al qaida videos...great! thats just a proof for the fact that ur govt. lets you see what it wants u to see, cuz those are the videos supporting your presence in iraq. and my question was: who gave the US the right to move into iraq. noone requested fpr this.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
Yes I live in America clown. Yes, I'm blinded. You're an idiot. The gov't doesn't control the press you moron, see the NYTIMES NSA issue. Gov't told NYT not to release info, Times did. The US gov't did at one time supress info, under FDR and Truman, and tries to convince the press to not publish stuff, but ultimately the press decides on their own, and often against the US' wishes. You are clueless. Showing videos of troops getting shot by snipers does not support our prescence there you moron.
birdyb24 5 years ago
Well sorry for offending your personal patriotism and crap, but did I insult you? Maybe you should calm down a little, ok? And it is a proven fact that the US media is influenced. Tell, me: what is the real (not official) reason for US troops being stationed in iraq? I would like to hear this from you. As a US citizen
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
1. this has nothing to do with patriotism. 2. Yes you insulted me by suggesting I am blind and by defaming my country. Maybe you should think before posting and not post about that which you know little. Your question has no nexus to censorship. Influence and censorship are worlds apart.
birdyb24 5 years ago
and yes, countires are still a sovereign. but the task of the UN is to coopertae on international matters, which can't work if the US continues to go its own stubborn way. the US were mostly respnsible for the establishment of the united nations which seemded a good idea, but things don't seem to work as long as the US only follow own interests instead of international ones
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
The UN was not created as a new world order to supplant any nation's sovereignty. Sorry we're not sheep, but I'd prefer to do what's right for our nation than follow the herd. E.g. Kyoto. The international interests want us to enact Kyoto at the cost of $B. We've done a better job of cutting CO2 emissions by going at it alone and not enacting Kyoto than those countries who have. Sometimes thinking for yourself is better than following.
birdyb24 5 years ago
"The UN was not created as a new world order to supplant any nation's sovereignty."
I never said so, maybe reading and understanding what is being written might be of help. Don't interpret wrong matters into what I say.
here a definition of the UN: "The United Nations (UN) is an international organization whose stated aims are to facilitate co-operation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress and human rights issues"
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
When you say we are problematic b/c we don't follow the herd, you are advocating a world order - all march in lockstep. Write coherent English that expresses your point of view. "facilitate co-operation" not require all to agree on everything. The word is facilitate, not require or compel. Moreover, nothing in the UN charter requires one mindedness; to the contrary, nations have inherent rights to protect their best interests, under the UN charter and international law.
birdyb24 5 years ago
If you wish to know why we are in Iraq, read the authorization to use force in Iraq, it spells it out. If you need further information, read the White House's webpage dedicated to this issue, or read the statements submitted by the US generals, or by the Iraqi gov't.
birdyb24 5 years ago
sorry if my english isn't as good and coherent as you wish, but english also isn't my mother tongue.
no, I never said that the members of the Un are obliged to anything. I said "but the task of the UN is to coopertae on international matters", it doesn't directly suggest obligation, but I admit: the word "task" is badly chosen. replace "task" by "aim", "goal" or "object" and you get what I mean.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
These semantical disagreements don't change anything. Your point was that we're a problem because we deviate from international consensus. That's not always a bad thing, contrary to your point of view. Most of the international community wanted to do nothing about Hitler, i.e. the League of Nations. They were wrong. Most joined Kyoto, they've done worse than us who didn't.
birdyb24 5 years ago
Well to be more precise: the whole reason WHY I am posting here is to express my disagreement with the war on Iraq for which I have a very good reason. All I have done so far is present acknowledged facts about this situation. I have reposted to dbart27 further down in case of the forgery scandal from 2003, naming another reason for the lack of trustworthyness of the USA concerning this particular war.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
Well this video is not simply about the war in Iraq you obsessed little boy.
birdyb24 5 years ago
I know, but this is what we have been arguing about the whole time...?
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
The argument was 1) the US gov't controls the media, untrue; influence, yes, control, no. 2) that the US is problematic b/c it doesn't always follow the international community. I said that's not always a bad thing. That's what we've been arguing about the whole time.
birdyb24 5 years ago
well i must have been missing out on something. The media influences the media, yes, I expressed myself wrongly and appologized. But it seemed to me that you have been trying to contradict me totally in everything that has been said.
And secondly, I wouldn't say that the matter about the US "not following the international community" was one of (at least not one of MY) major topics. And I also never used the term "international community"
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
1. I corrected you when you've been wrong. 2. ur words: "if the US continues to go its own stubborn way...things don't seem to work as long as the US only follow own interests instead of international ones" so, if we don't follow the international community as per little boy u, we're problematic. Look, have a nice life guy I'd rather be laying drunk in my own piss then continue this discussion.
birdyb24 5 years ago
Go ahead, I'm not stopping you. But maybe you are the one who should start thinking critically. If you deny the fact that the USA follows own interests when it comes down to situations like these, then you are simply naiv. There we have to consider which one of us is the simple one...besides, where did I state that the UN did not say that Iraq had WMDs? I was only speaking of disagreement in terms of authorizing a war
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
I NEVER DENIED THAT ILLITERATE! I said not following the herd is not a bad thing at times. THE UN DOESN'T HAVE TO AUTHORIZE WAR YOU MORON, sovereign nations have inherent rights. You're a clueless kid. Thanks for pissing me off and wasting 2 hours of my life.
birdyb24 5 years ago
you took 2 hours to read what I said and respond to it? I don't think I ever forced you to bother with me.
And yes, authorization quite is a correct term in this situation. I am not talking about prohibiting or stopping a country from acting in it's own facon. Maybe it ought to be time you start looking up shit before insulting others dammit
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
Please wake up all of you who hate war...you may not want a war, but a war wants you...so what are you going to do, go hide your head in the sand while Jihad plots to rape your women, destroy your country and kill all the christians and jews? Its not pretty I know but that does not change the fact that somewhere in this world, a war wants YOU!
dbart27 5 years ago
That is true. Very well said, thank you for your input. I like that way of thinking, it's rational. Somewhere in the world someone wants 'you' dead for whatever reason, be it belief, nationality...etc Good point dbert27.
KindHeartedPsycho 5 years ago
your whole industry is based on the production of war machinery, which means: no war, no industry, no wealth. only few americans see this way because your media is in control of the government who only lets you see what it wants you to see. it is obvious that the US are not on a mission for good will, this is their kind of economical business. or are you saying that weapons of mass destruction have been found in iraq?
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
Furthermore, their history demonstrates they aren't the world's most noted critical or free thinkers.
birdyb24 5 years ago
1. The point of referring to German history is not very suitable in this case for these issues have happened over 60 years ago. I know my history very well, but I am not directly affected by it and today, Germany is as democratic as any other modern democracy (which YOU by the way have brought to us). Relating the world wide anti-americanism to the long gone national socialism in Germany is very irrelevant and wide fetched.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
I'm going to chalk it up as a language issue rather than conclude that you are an utter moron. The referrence to your past was about media control. It's ironic you would talk of propaganda coming from Germany. Moreover, even today your media is monolithic and far from objective.
birdyb24 5 years ago
All i have done was criticise the regime.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
Ignorance about the US and disagreeing are two entirely different things. Yeah, Europe disagrees with "the american war fare business" except Bosnia right? Kosovo? Sudan? Please, you euros are utter hypocrites. My reference to young ingornant germans was about your stupid comments about the US gov't controlling the media, not about disagreeing about the war. Clueless
birdyb24 5 years ago
And I am surely not inventing my arguments, nor am I intending to criticise the US or its citizens in common. And what does my "ignorance" have to do with my nationality?
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
Nothing. I cited a pattern. Lots of similar statements as those you've made, when I look up the profiles of the person posting, are the same as you - young germans. Perhaps it's the in thing there, a reflection of the media, pop culture...who knows.
birdyb24 5 years ago
There is no "in thing" over here concerning the Iraq war to be precise...
I hardly beleive I would follow a common pattern just because it might be considered as cool or in. I rather stick to own opinions
I would be interested in your opinion though: Do you rather support the war on Iraq or don't you? Completely in disregard any further arguments about its legitimacy etc.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
here you have to differentiate: did america go to war on iraq in fight for world peace and in fight against the jihads world view? or did america go to iraq to insure themselves some more oil for the next few years before ressources run out entirely? of course war is inevitable sometimes, but war is the thing that america lives of.
blackRavenXIII 5 years ago
This video is not about America or Iraq. It's about war as a whole. It's about people wanting peace over war or in some cases, people wanting war to bring peace. Don't think that 'everything' is about America. Because it is not.
KindHeartedPsycho 5 years ago
I HATE war.. i HATE it. for every video I see, more and more tears keeps coming. I wish that Bush could see this. Then maybe he would understand.. I just cant wait for the new election. Hope for a female president. or a dark skinned.

The potential female president is a woman who voted for war in Iraq, who's husband waged 5 wars: Iraq, Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, and bombed a chinese embassy and a pharmaceutical facility in Sudan. Dark skinned? Like the genocidal animals in Africa? War was invented long before the USA, and if the USA wasn't causing death and destruction for the profit of the globalist corporations, another power would be doing it instead. Nations are but pawn to be swallowed up by the New World Order.
