To me it's about accenting the positive and the shapeless trapeeze outfits do nothing for anybody accept maybe Lady Ga Ga. Sadly, I can maybe recall 2 times when Debra Lee came out rocking it. She usually misses though. I'm waiting for the black version of Joan Rivers fashion don't show to come out.

Debra looked "The Fool" - it was so obviously painfully expensive and was never meant to make it past fashion week. Shirley looked like someone's Fairy God/Church Mother!
I stopped watching any awards show since 09' because it's all BS! BET SUCKS ASS anyway! I am not surprised by the dress codes they are sporting!
