  • I could tell it was the 64' ri. You can here the 'ping' with the ceramic adj bridge :)

  • @allennnnnn91 : Yep...except the reissue has a tusq saddle instead of the original controversial ceramic saddle. But, regardless, adjustable bridge definitely gives it a unique sound.-JazzmanJeff

  • @JazzmanJeff Its tusq? I thought it was ceramic...

  • @allennnnnn91: Gibson's adjustable bridges in the 60s originally had wood or ceramic saddles and were controversial. Some felt wood or ceramic were not good sound transmitters. When Gibson brought back the 60s adjustable bridge on some reissue models they used tusq in the adjustable bridges' saddles rather than ceramic (or wood). Tusq resolved the original wood/ceramic controversy in the adjustable bridge set up...as tusq is known to be a good acoustic sound transmitter.-JazzmanJeff

  • @heartlandsongs-You picked up quite well on the classical-ness and how it could be adopted to an orchestral piece. Definitely how I approached it with its different guitar instrumental voiced segments. Plus, sunsets on the lake were its direct inspiration. Thanks for listening and the positive feedback,-JazzmanJeff

  • Really nice, what guitar were you using?

  • @allennnnnn91-I'm playing my Custom Shop 1964 J-45 Reissue in the audio. The guitar in the photo in the video is my 1994 Gibson Gospel Reissue. Thanks for listening and asking about the guitar being used.
