It's so unfortunate that people think you didn't play this by ear. Maybe it's just for a select few, but if you listen to enough times (at least for me), you can get a sense of what's going on, and after a few more times, you've got it down pat. hey how do you know it wasn't learned by ear? For piano players it is very easy to pick something up and then play it from memory. For me, i hate sight-reading so playing by ear is way better for me. Dont start thinking someone is lying when they say the learned something by ear.
