So glad that "DaGrizzla" has preached a relevant truth as Andre used to play bass with "Prince" in early days waaay before " Brown Mark" took over via Andre leaving to pursue his own work ..At best Andre 's partnership in those days was a great catalyst for Prince....Love them both and the sound they have contributed to in many ways ...Thanks for posting this ....Killah piece of "FonK"....;O)

Not a Prince copy, cuz Prince wrote it & Andre & Prince were like brothers back in the day. Actually, knowing Prince, he most likely recorded it himself, then sent it 2 Andre so that Andre could overdub his vocals on 2 it. But there's only 1 Prince. Andre needed 2 come up with his own persona.
