He left to heal injuries...if you haven't noticed he is one of the very few wrestlers to not take a break from wrestling (in 2003 he went to TNA so it doesn't count) so he must be really really tired. He also couldn't sleep because he has restless leg syndrome. He also had neck injuries. So it would hurt for him to move. It maeks sense for him to take a break, and that's what he did.
