The first stage is one of the largest solid-fuel rocket boosters in the world and carries 138 tonnes of Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) bound propellant.
kashsoldier, VIKRAM microprocessor is not a single chip as is commonly assumed. actually it is an array of Intel 8086 microprocessors used in a parallel performance matrix. The entire arrangement is called VIKRAM. Nevertheless, the data bus used in the guidance system is state of the art comparable to the one used by NASA & Boeing in the Delta rocket. It is indeed a wonderful arrangement by us.
The Intel 8086 is not a hi-tech system. u can find it in a common laser printer or scanner.
Good Video, but need more info. how much of it is indigenous (the satellite is italian) and where does our pslv technology stand with comparison to other countries.
India is the fifth after the US, Russia, Ukraine and the European Space Agency (ESA) to have the capability of launching spacecraft of any kind into polar and geo-stationary orbits. We had american navigation system but not anymore we got indigenous VIKRAM micro processors for that now!! PSLV is (100%) indigenous!!
Italy paid 11 million dollars for their satellite to be launched. Indonesia and argentina satellites were also launched.Israel wanted to launch its spy satellite in 2005 with PSLV, but I am not sure whether it happened!!
aaila soldier!! nice video, but boss, whatever u wrote in the description, abey yaar, kuch samajh main nahi aaya, genius!! actually i'm an IT guy not a physisist!! LOL! anyways, nice video man!!
Well done India for your excellent achievements! As usual dirty pakis will be envying your achievements and conspiring in a pathetic attempt to destroy your great nation.
But I can see there demise coming very quick and the demise of there terrorist citizens all over the world. Everyone hates Pakis!

Might add India is as good as having the Cryogenic technology. China claims she has this(cryogenic) technology, the reality is she does not.
