This car is now racing in Portugal ( classic car championship +1600) and the owner is António Nogueira. I saw the debut racing in circuito da Boavista, the past June. Amazing car but RHD..so is dificult for the pilot...

I think ,it based on the Essex V6. I took the specs from a Motorsport magazine.

it`s a fuel-injected Cosworth GAA V6 24V, And yes, it`s based off the Essex V6 engine.

A well-driven Steinmetz Commodore was a fearsome competitor in its day but I suspect the Ford Team had more money for better drivers, the Capris were nigh-unbeatable !

@TDRrevenge the yellow/black car is a Opel Commodore "Steinmetz". The owner of this car is Dr. Oliver Steinmetz, the son of Klaus Steinmetz. This car is afaik a replica.
