The Oscars were a disappointment, how could a movie like "The Hurt Locker" beat AVATAR? It's a shame that AVATAR did not get recognized for what it is. History repeats itself (Star Wars and E.T. losing the Oscars to long forgotten movies). The Hurt Locker did not deserve anything, but maybe the best sound mixing. But I'm sure many people do think AVATAR is the Best Picture (Considering the 2.6 Billion dollars it has made). We're all waiting for AVATAR 2

Avatar took box offices by storm, it is a shame you failed to see that. Also, I hope the reason you didn't give any of the actors a nod was because of the motion capture. Despite the technology all of that was their performance, though as much as I love that movie I understand if it as for more legitimate reasons. Never the less, the movie was astonishing, and I think you need to awknoledge what the people like.

I'm in NY. There are only 2 events I look forward to seeing on live TV -- the Super Bowl & the Oscars. Fortunately, ABC did not have rights to the Super Bowl. I cannot watch the Oscars on TV because ABC is holding the show for ransom against Cablevision and an antennae doesn't pick up squat. So, YouTube, take me to Hollywood for one night. i love watching the oscars even in a year of pretty bad movies like this. i do wonder why the show seems to have the same roster of presenters (travolta,Latifah,Jackson) every year? how bout timberlake,swank,oprah and a few classics like minnelli,pacino, gene hackman and shirley temple? they definately need some star power at this show.
