This coaster has an interesting history as to why it's built like that. This one was built exactly like the other V2 impulse coaster at SFGrAm that is 185 ft tall. The only problem was there is a height restriction of 150ft for the park. They actually listed the rides height at 150ft but that didn't fool the code enforcement officials for long as some one saw the V2 at SFGrAm and found out that it was the exact same height as that one.

I've been on the V2 at Great America and Wicked Twister at Cedar Point, but I think this one would be cool just because the sprial spike all the way vertical, would be cool, get an inversion in

He's actually right. Vertical Velocity at SFGA goes vertical on both spikes.

Out of all the Intamin Impulse Coasters, this is the only one that Does not go vertical on the one side.

yeah because this is v2 not v1...v1 was vertical on both sides while v2 they changed it so it was vertical on one side and diagonal out on the other...i spend way too much time at that theme park...ive seen rides come and go in the past years...zonga being one of them.

Who cares about vertical on the twisted spike?? With the twisted spike put at an angle you actually go inverted which is way better. I could just lie down on my floor and do what the SFGA V2 does. All that one does is make you rotate in a circle, no inversion at all.

Went on this last Thursday, I LOVED, LOVED IT. I loved it so much. This is perhaps my favorite ride at Six flags Discovery Kingdom. yes, I loved it more than Medusa. The adrenaline rush of the car shooting towards that first spiral was a thrill. It's AWESOME!

It is. The info your looking at is probably of the other V2's with a vertical spiral tower.

the spiral tower is like that because the ride went over height restrictions ... so they shortend the vertical tower and angled the spiral part (the other 2 v2's have a vertical spiral tower)
