Fela was a bonafide leader...way ahead of his time...to bad african leaders today are white washed in mental enslavement. If leaders thought like fela why would africa be in the position it is today...i hate to see nigerian judges wearing british wigs as if its their roots. thats the problem w/ africa being forced to structure its government with forign influences, and false countries created by europeans.
The new problem in Nigeria now new generation of Pastor that brainwashed the people, promised illusion of prosperity if the accept christ in their life. But still people deep and deeper in poverty and ignorance. If you colonised people you take away everything from them, mind, identity, pride and soul. Nigerian Politician prefer to buy luxury house in London then investing that money in Nigeria. The problem is enslaving mind. We need revolution in that country, that is only solution.
slavery omg none in Africa better POVERTY THAN SLAVERY, because the vicious cycle of poverty maybe a temporary situation but the mentality of a slave will/can never end its in the BLOOD!! passed on from generation to generation..please tell me any different. Sons and daughters of slave have a totally different disposition ...with poverty you can be happy like fela said africans smile smile!!!good people
Fela looked so handsome and beautiful. Let everyboby known, Fela was a pure humanist. We have Gorillas and Monkeys running the Nigerian Government today. All Fela preached is still happening in Africa today. Africans arise, and take your destiny in your own hands. LONG LIVE FELA ANIKULAPO-KUTI.

keilyngodson26 3 years ago 3
I agree. A slave mentality is far worse than poverty. I would rather be poor with my soul than rich without one.

Fela is the Man. Pity that nothing has changed, and most Nigerians you talk to say he was a troublemaker. Go figure.
