I hated when he got shot and then time rewinded itself and he didn't get shot, because that couldn't happen. That is what confused me. And also, the ending was sad, having their stories trapped in their house all the time and not being published into the world. It seemed like they were living in a man-cave or something.
i also just finished it actually 12 minutes ago since it took forever to come out in paperback. If anyone is as big a fan of his books as i am, im sure you too are anxiously awaiting his next two series installments of Odd Thomas, and also the new Frankenstien.
This book is such a fun read! I can't believe the negative reviews I have seen. Most of the probs was that it wasn't very "believable" Umm it's fiction...why does it need believability?
@dayseehead I just read the book. The end WAS disappointing. Shearman Waxx built up into an almost supernatural adversary then rendered so low profile at the end? Disappointing. Also, it wasn't explained why there was such brutality in the killings/torture of all the victims. After all, in spite of their macabre agenda, Zazu Wane's organization was not psycho so why the psycho nature of their violence? Most disappointing conclusion ever to a Koontz book especially in lieu of the awesome lead-up.
