Al Jolson starred in the first feature film to be a "talking picture," in October 1927, "The Jazz Singer." Of course, his real name was Asa Yoelson, and he was Jewish. Hitler wouldn't have liked that.
It was remade in 1952 with Danny Thomas (Lebanese Catholic) and 1980 with Neil Diamond (Jewish).

@rocketman5989 Lol they started using sound on some movies in 1928. By 1931 all had sound and colour started in 1936...so did BBC TV lolz, same year ;-)
