tv license is like one of those malware viruses on a computer......they just pester you til you give them some money for nothing. tell them to fuck off and slam the door. they have no power at all.
@tvlicenceevader666 I don't own a telly but I am not putting myself out to tell these clowns that just so they can start re-sending me their junk again 6 months later. Even if you are watching a telly without a licence they can't do anything about it unless you confess to it, which is why the enforcement muppets will want you to sign a writen statement incriminating yourself. If they could prove it any other way then there would be no need for a confession.
yes dude good point..but knock any one who keeps posting good arse wiping fodda....if i can give you a tip ..the best thing to do is screw it up as much as possible between your 2 palms this softens the paper and makes it easyer on the old ring peice.....
Getty images does this to domain owners, they send these nasty letters out to massive emails demanding a huge payment to avoid being prosecuted for unlawful use of images. The letter goes far beyond accusations and leaps into extortion. What they don't know is your information, contacting them is how they gain this knowledge and escalating the threats. Simply ignoring them makes them go away peacefully.
@blarghnofreenames In that case I'd sue the TV licensing people for harrasment and defamation of character if I were you. They are sending letters to thousands of households all over the country claiming that you are probably a criminal!!!
@petermaquire Ok lets see if i can get this right. If they fine people for streaming internet over a tv (like youtube for example) or require a payment to view that content. I'm pretty sure you can sue them for trying to profit off of your intellectual property. It also may fall under monopoly laws as well depending on your country. Or loss of potential income from hindered subscribers. Damn it seems like the sky is the limit.

Bumbaclot is a good word. I suspect it might be a little harsh on the behind.

@Loreleila You'd only want to have to use it in a scape, so to speak.
