  • Though I agree that speaking in tongue is a amazing experience, we have to remember that speaking in tongues is only one of the many manifesations. I speak in tongues a lot in church but we have to remember that in corinthians paul said that the people were speaking in tongues and they were not growing. We should pursue teaching, prophesy, not merely tongue speaking. It is all about growing in Christ to maturity.

I agree with you man, keep the faith.

  • @bowiehs I agree brother. This video is about people's private prayer, and not dealing with in public or in the church. In the church we need to seek to edify the other brethren, not ourselves. We need to walk in love toward all men. Like the Scripture says, "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal" (1 Corinthians 13:1). God bless you my friend!

  • @BrotherRyanHicks Amen brother I agree, you are right about that. love wins.

stay encouraged, I love all your videos, it helps me alot.

  • @bowiehs Amen brother. Thank you for the edification!

  • I really like your videos. Please Brother Ryan put some kind of disclaimer on this video. There is a lot of false speaking in tongues going on in these last days and this video can easily be misunderstood like some comments do also show. I disagree with the importance you put on speaking in tongues. There are other gifts that are much more needed and much more important (e.g. correct teaching, prophecy and discernment) especially for us today. May God bless you.

  • @zTagDe I am not going to put a disclaimer on speaking in tongue anymore than I would on following Jesus. There are people that are fake that claim to follow Christ, as there may be people that are faking speaking in tongues. I am dealing with the real gifts of the Spirit and how people should not neglect any of the gifts that they are given. Lord willing, I will do a video about "false" tongues at some point. God bless!

  • Amen! Thinks for this reminder/encouragement! What's the music that you use at the end of many of your videos?

  • @abaneyone I would have to go check the music, but I bought the rights for it to use in my videos. I am glad that the you received the encouragement. Some did not take it the way I intended and felt condemned. That certainly is not my intention. I just wanted to stir up the gifts of God in people and encourage them to walk in the Spirit. God bless you my friend!

  • i am afraid i have sinned against the holy ghost..i was being ignorant about some people speaking in tongues that i misjudge them..do i still have any hope?

  • @kaederukawa187 You would not be concerned about sinning against the Holy Ghost if you had done so. God's Spirit would not be convicting you or drawing you to repentance if you had committed the unpardonable sin. God is very merciful. Simply confess and forsake your sins in full faith in Jesus Christ and you will be forgiven and made clean.

  • Then in other words only those who practice the gifts (Pentecostals) are the only true Christians?

  • @October31st1517 No. Here are some verses about who is a true Christian.

    Galatians 5:24

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

    Romans 8:14

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

If you read Matthew 7:21-27 you can see that no miracles or gifts assure one is really saved. Only if one is truly born again and has good works following (Ephesians 2:8-10) are they true Christians.

  • @NewMeNow2000 There may be some that speak gibberish that is not actually tongues, but that is no different than people that claim to be Christians who are not. The true gift of tongues is different than that, and has different administrations depending on the circumstances. In the church it is to be accompanied with an interpretation (1 Corinthians 14:5, 19, 27-28). In private, it is prayer between the believer and God (1 Corinthians 14:2, 4, 14).

  • I do agree that we must strive to WALK in the SPIRIT and must strive to covet earnestly the best gifts when and where they are needed! If the Spirit of God wants to pray through me 10 minutes or 10 hours, I should yeild to that same Spirit. In doing so, I will be edified and my faith will be built up. We should NOT quench the Spirit, but allow him to do whatever HE wishes as HE WILLS! It's not necessary to condemn people for not speaking or praying in tongues in a time frame WE DEEM APPROPRIATE.

  • @holinesspentecostal I am encouraging those that have received gifts from God to not neglect them. This is just like Paul encouraged Brother Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:14, "Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery." May the Lord Jesus bless you my friend!

  • Great message! It's an important reminder that we should use the gifts that the Lord gave us especially praying in tongues.

  • @Arourasb1 Amen sister!

  • Amen. May Jesus bless you, Brother Ryan.

  • @doubtlessgb Thank you my brother. May the Lord Jesus bless you!

  • Great advice. I think that everybody need this advice. Thank you brother. god bless you.

  • @truegospelofchrist Amen my brother! God bless you richly in Christ!
