i hit 163 on my 04 gsxr600 on a 3 lane freeway around 3 in the morning,held it there for about 10-15 seconds...the freeway is like a race track at 3am...very few vehicles so u can just go crazy!

your bike like my bike if this is with out a speedo healer then its really about 145-155 that you did. Those that have done 178 on incline straight roads thats about 160 give or take and its limited to 186 with out limiter removed on all U.S. suzuki street bikes.turbo it and you may get into limiter range still about 170 with out speedo healer

First off, this road was not closed, apparent because of the minivan driving on the same road. Secondly, 162mph on stock GSXR = 145 real mph. The Speedometers always read 10% high. I have one. If you don't trust me, find one of the speed signs that reads your speed by radar and drive 50MPH by it. It will say you are at 45 when your speedo says 50. If not, then this was an accurate video and I am wrong.

nothing you can really do wrong at that speed in a straight line....the bike wants to go straight and remain upright, no crack, pothole, tar snake rock or blown engine tire or chain will even phase the bike.

No dude, every bike sold dose 186 stock, its a limmitter, hell a busa stock still dose 299Kph.. with is 186Mph.. go to any dealership and ask them, hell ask people on here... and with the limmiter off a 600 stock will hit like 202mph right before the engine blows ... But for real, put a 1000 and a 600 on the 1/8 mile and watch what happens,

No, 600's can read 186mph on their speedo, but this is not speedohealer corrected. It will be in the range of 162-168 with a healthy 600.

And your 1/8th comment is funny. 1000's have mroe TORQUE, also, the gear ratio is much wider. The 1/8th mile will be done by a 1000 in first gear alone.

Big deal, a pipe and air filter upgrade gets you around 15 hp extra TOPS! NO 600 will go over 170. Use a GPS morons. The speedos are off by at least 10% when you are close to your top speed. I agree with you with most of this coment on 600cc bikes, Suzuki speedo's over read by 20 percent on the K4 model in this poor video buit, You can get a 600cc bike to go over 170 Mph if you are willing to spend silly money on weight, power, Tourqe, gearing, Gear resioes etc but that too much 4 most ppl. I use data logging system and no speedo in races.

the t model (K4-5) don't have a fuel cut at 140 mph but they do switch off if you drop them or lean them over at over 47-49 degrees = too far on track at speeds that most people never get too, so it something not to worry about 4 road riding.

Can't go by speedo's cause they are way off at that speed. gps, measured time between 2 distances or radar verified is the only way to go. Stock 600's top out between 158-163 mph. I love it when someone tells me thier 600 does 180mph. Even stock 1000's bairly can crack that. Not all of em either. although thier speedo's may read 191-194mph.

get a zero gravity windscreen... that can add like 5mph to your top speed + you don't have to tuck down as much. The one on my Kawasaki helps a ton compared to the stock piece of crap. You can replace it yourself too, even though you order it from a dealer.

You do understand that your tachometer is always wrong. Everyone's tachometer is wrong due to wind resistance, and other measures. You were not going 162 (more likely 156-158). And that was not a closed road...

Speedo read 176 with a 15 mph tailwind. Beings that the speedo's are natorious for being off by 5 some times 10 mph's i figued that was around 165ish. At any rate..thought it was pretty fast for my stock bike.
