  • . fwd is practical. rwd is fun. awd when you need it. sending power to all 4 does wonders in reducing power planted to the road

  • Too heavy of a car and not enough power!

  • 225hp???? the new 3.5 engines are rated ar 265 hp and maybe 230 hp at the wheels

  • Had my sedan on a dyno and It only said 268. No mods but idk. Great car.

  • FWD? At least you won't spin out in the snow like RWD. Gotta love the coupe!

  • you're going to spin even more with fwd .lmfao.awd is what you want.

  • I mean like, spin out, not burn.

  • LOL, FWD has way better traction than a RWD ever will in the snow........ you wont spin out in a FWD. if you're talking wheel-spin at launch, a viscous limited slip will work wonders. RWD will always have better traction off the line on dry pavement, but definitely NOT in the snow.

and AWD tops them both as you said.

  • That's exactly why you have a car for the purposes of winter driving. RWD for a summer enjoyment car. AWD for winter.

  • haha yeah I agree.. just don't underestimate some FWDs, there are plenty out there that are kicking ass lol

  • on a track RWD is the way to go. 0-60 is AWD and FWD is economical.

  • I agree but on the track lower powered porsche beat the viper over and over again because the viper with all that power to the rear wheels could not power into a turn without spinning out

  • @ComfortablyxNumb59 I also say FWD is better than RWD or AWD in the snow or ice because you can get better traction to the ground.

  • i love my coupe!

  • very gooooood car

  • The thing I noticed most was how the steering was really light and smooth. However the steering didn't feel that responsive for the first half-inch of so each way.

  • im thinking about one of these, the steering was what i was worried about cuz im not a front wheel drive fan, does it ride good?

  • I tested the one with automatic CVT so I can only speak of that one. It's pretty cool, the steering wheel is really light and smooth, the turn radius is alright. Acceleration is brisk without any delays. I actually ended up buying an 04 mustang GT because I found the exact one I wanted. Good luck with your hunt

  • its funny that you got the mustang cuz im trying to chose between this and an 05 or 06 mustang!

  • Lol get the Mustang. I only looked at this car because I thought I would never be able to find the pony I wanted. I wanted an 03-04 (prefer 04) black/black GT with leather, spd, low miles. I found the perfect one with less than 27k on it. So i'm real happy about that and have no regrets. I am quite a RWD person myself so trust me your gonna have more fun with the mustang.

  • thnx for the opinion.

  • yes, find a mustang gt online and supercharge that car xD

  • 225 horses.... one little Pony! LOL

  • mustangs are sexy cars, but if you want better gas mileage than, the altima coupe definelty is better

  • There is a difference between muscle cars and sports coupes. The mustang and cameros are no doubt muscle cars, but I like how the Altima coupe is a sleek and classy ride. That's just my taste in cars though.

  • I test drove this car today with the V6 trim. It was really nice, the CVT was really smooth and responsive. The turn radius was not bad and the blind spots were very small. My only main complaint is the trunk space and I am more of a RWD person.

  • dude im buying this fucking car. I trust nissan.. I got Nissan altima sedan 2006. nissan murano 2005 and I was planning to buy nissan 350z..now i know 350z got its own value but altima coupe doesnt look bad either plus cheaper than 350z. looks similar to g35. and best part front wheel drive. this car will get famous soon

  • the only fault I see in it is that it's not rear wheel drive. -_- but is it true that it costs more to manufacture a rear wheel drive car than a front wheel drive?

  • So you want a 3.5L V6 coupe with rear wheel drive? G35 coupe or 350z anyone?

If nissan made the altima coupe rear wheel drive, at the prices they are selling them, then they would lose tons of sales on 350z's. They have to worry enough about outside competition, so they don't want to create competition inside their own brand.

    Just my $0.02.

  • well that answered my first question thanks!! but then my 2nd question. is it more expensive to build a rear wheel drive car than front wheel drive?

  • da onlie g35 dat has 260 horsepwer is

    da 2003 models sedan..from 04 it had 280..

den in 06 it had 298..and in 2007,it has 306..

so u should get ur fact straight..by da way..

    nice car..

  • I want to lease this car for 24 months. Anyone leased it already? how much are you paying? what should I ask for at the dealship?

  • I have a 2.5 with the convience package and it has the 8-way power adjustable driver seat. It really is a great car.

  • Just the fact it is a front wheel drive is a turn off . i still luv my G35

  • G35 only has like 260hp compared to the 08 Altimas 270. G35 also has a horrible 0-60 time, plus the tacs in the G35 are hidious.

    Altima coupe > G35 coupe

  • why doesnt the altima coupe have power seats, it looks cheaply deisinged off set g35

  • The 2.5 has 4 way manual driver... the 3.5 has an 8-way power driver standard.

  • Got that? so stop being a fucking hater, that obviously hates on Honda,, hey im a nissan fanboy aswell, i love Nismo,, but i respect Honda, Toyota, and Mazda, and i also do my research befor i say shit. Both the RSX and the Altima Coupe are cool, but id preffer my sexy S13 :P

  • even the infiniti G35, and the new G37 are all wanna be race cars. the fact is that when a company creates a car whos sole purpose is to race, they out preform all other models. like the fairlady Z (350Z) the G35 STOCK could not stand up 2 a 350.

  • an rsx type R would literally eat this altima alive, its not even qualified as a sports car, its a wanna be car for ppl like u that need to 'feel' cool.

  • obviously your not talking about the Altima 3.5 SE, right?

  • the 3.5 coupe has 270hp, which is 10hp over the G35. Also has a faster 0-60 time with manual transmission.

  • But if u knew shit about cars, you would have noticed the race ready version of that car, the Type R. which has a 2.0L engine, race ready, factory tuned suspension and a shit load more. it doesent even matter the size of engines, it all comes down to weight and power.

  • The RSX or Integra has 3 versions of itself for different buyers. the most common seen in Canada and the United States would most obviously be the stock rsx, or the type S.

  • ok,, listen.. im only saying this once,, the altima coupe is just a slower front wheel drive steet version of the 350z. You cant compare a DC5 (acura RSX) to an altima.

  • whats up with all this hating on the rsx??..its pretty clear that the Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 is way faster then the Acura Rsx Type-S, do u want to know why its faster?? cuz it has a way bigger engine then the 2.0L type-s!! duh, why do u think nissan had to make a 3.5 coupe?, cuz the 2.5s was getting its ass kicked by the Type-S LOL..if Acura made a 3.5 Rsx then i'm pretty sure "xWeaponOfChoicex" wouldn't take shit about the Type-s!!!LMAO

  • Nissan Altima Coupe rocks acura rsx sucks

  • its still an altima. nissan should have made a maxima coupe. hindu people are the only ones that drive altimas.

  • fuck the maxima faggot

  • word

  • looks just like the g35 coupe.

  • IN 2001 I was a Acura salesman and I was banking left and right with the intro of the RSX, then I move on to Infiniti in 2003 and banked again on the G sedans and coupes. Now, the altima look way too much like the G-coupe, so who ever owns a G-coupe will definitely not be a happy camper right now. Acura was smart to stop production of the RSX because the altima coupe will simply destroy it. Same price as the RSX which one will you take ? STOP thinking, it's a no brainer. Peace out.

  • acura and nissan are a different level.

acura is luxury, nissan is not

  • Does ur Acura have a push button start or navigation. Or CVT or a 275 hp 3.5L engine? The RSX or RSX S dont even stand a chance against this.

  • push button start and navigation. you can add it into any car as a MOD.

stop bashing on a car you can never afford.

  • I cant afford a 15000 Acura, I have more cars than your whole family and neighbors combined fuckdhead. Quit talking shit about a car you've never seen. The RSX is a piece of shit and thats why the fuck they stopped making it. The Altima completely destroys this piece of shit. At the same price as this car who besides ur stupid monkey ass would get a glorified Honda? And who would take shitty aftermarket ricer mods over factory installed parts engineered for this specific car????

  • you must be a 15 year old that dreams of owning something that runs on 4 wheels.

go ride your power wheels kiddo.

..and who would take shitty aftermarket ricer mods over factory? MILLIONS of people mod their fucking car with aftermarket shit.

yea sure im sure Acura thought RSX was a piece of shit, thats why they stopped making it. right.

then i guess the g35, toyota supra, nsx. were all pieces of shit then?

how about you shut your ass up and get your facts straight kid.

  • You stupid fuc.king faggot how about I have a nicer car than you , ya dumb son of a bitch. Haha u called your own shit ricey. Your a dumbass bitch who can only afford a used 05 RSX not even a type S so shut the hell up.

  • RIIIIGHT.

  • did he say its a front wheel drive car?

  • I drove the Altima Coupe 3.5SE today! I had to drop names just to get it off the lot (no really, they told me that the car was not to put a wheel outside the dealership). In short, it's fun, it growls like a 'Z' sorta, and it's a pain in the ass to get in the back seat. The CVT seemed powerful, although dealer man was ready to go ape-sh!t if I did anything to rash.

  • dude im 12 and i drove this car and it was fast as hell and its hbuge dont be talkin about my dads car

  • haha no offense but you said it yourself, your 12, anything that goes faster than your bike seems fast as hell.

  • LOL!

  • I REALLY hope the coupe has a heftier steering feel than the '07 3.5 sedan. Sure, it has more grip but doesn't feel as sporty as the previous gen. 3.5.

Added weight + overboosted steering + longer wheelbase = Toyota Camry

(people drive the Altima so they don't have to drive boring Camry)

I'll stick with my '05 3.5 until I can test drive a six-stick Altima Coupe. CVT blows.

  • yeha thats why I like the previous gen altima the L30 (1998-2001) that car with a turbo is nice, nice feel, and great response, but with 280 hp on 4 cyl has some crazy as heck oversteer...with my car and its mods you better hold on to that wheel^^.

  • PatnTheHat, do you care to explain your claim of "CVT blows"?

  • I wouldn't have to if you've ever driven one on a twisty section of road and tried to drive in any other fashion than "point and shoot". RPM control is poor when you need to dial in just the right amount of power not to upset the balance. Add that they don't emphasize a car's engine sound and they are a relatively unproven technology and you'll find that just about every other choice is a better one.

  • Hum,,,,I drove the '07 sedan; the only thing I noticed is that the car failed to shift a couple of times when I was using "manual mode". As for CVT being "unproven", I would say "new in the mass market", but not as bad off as "unproven". So let me guess, it's the stick shift for you (even though it's suppose to be slower than the CVT)?

  • my father has a nissan altima 2007 and it is like the next future car

  • nice car looks even better than the seadan
