I found a glitch in Marble Zone, I think act 3, I may upload it sometime, you roll into the shield power up and keep rolling into the wall, when you walk or run back to where you have to go, he just pushes thin air xD

I have played this! I found the ROM and I thought it should be a perfect version of the Genesis original, this guy is right! it is an abomination! the music sounds awful! I don't understand how they could screw it up so bad, this game has been on dozens of platforms with no problems, I've even played good versions on cell phones (before the iPhone)

Most Sonic 1 ports are faithful to the original, I did not expect them to make a superior version, all people asked for was a faithful port of the original. So really, not all ports are bad, in fact about 20% of most ports I have played are bad. The other 80% are faithful to originals.

There can be lag in cartridge games. Hell, even the original Sonic 1 had lag, especially in Marble Zone. However, it was never this severe.

I bought the virtual console versions of the first 3 on the wii though haha. yeah. so i have the emulator(ROMS) and the VC version.. alright and i have mega collection. = all ports of the originals.

No, I'm sorry, but you misunderstand.

I've had a slow down for no more than 3-5 seconds tops, but it only slows down to the extent of being a single second behind the proper amount of time.

Anyway, I find the gameplay to be lively and fun.A classic Sonic game on a portable format.

I don't care what specifications of the game you or anyone else pick out, I love this and every other Sonic game, and have a blast playing them.

Maybe a slow down that lasts 3-5 seconds tops.

And they only effect the timer to single second in difference, and fast mobility is hardly demeanor.

When you get the speed shoes you actually run FASTER.

As in you progress in whichever direction you want with greater speed and momentum.

I've experienced minor little slowdowns when there is several objects in movement but it is under the circumstances that extensive movement and interactivity are undergoing.

It is minor as well as it allows you to perform certain actions with greater accuracy.

The mechanics for this game observe momentum and speed even greater than the original Genesis version plus it doesn't tend to slide which was clearly a operations adjustment.

YouTube forces the screen size to standard. The game is in widescreen, so that explains the squished look.

My advice is don't buy the GBA game. If you want to play the original SOnic, buy the Genesis cart off ebay. If you want it portable buy the Sega Nomad. Problem resolved!

cool review but you missed some flaws in the game for one thing you forgot to point out the level selet problems one of those problems is in level selet you don't get to choose witch act you get to play and that you have to complte every level for level selet you also forgot to point out how bad the muisc is
