  • It is called J-setting because the Jackson State University J-settes majorettes were the very first marching band line to dance without batons. Soon after, every marching band, high school or college, followed suit. Hence the name J-setting. It started in the 70s

  • Dude you are amazing. If Im not mistaken, didnt you come to The Myxx sometime wit ur squad and battle like last year or so....

  • yes i did

  • Yea.. Our squad was beside your squad. Jade Infinity. Yall did good... I was impressed but yall didnt stay in long.

  • Well keep doin ya thing. Im here in NY now.. what do you think? I should form a squad here, cuz they dont J-Sett here... Lol!

  • wow they dont jsett up there! wow you should start the trend then, get a squad up and get it poppin lol they may start to like it lol

  • @SexyChocolat im in NY tooooo and ii jsette!!! im from down south though... but ii jsette

  • Father Ninja is Sek-C! lol

  • WURK IT yes!!!! nice body

  • what exactly is Jsett?

  • I don't know why they call it "J-sette"... it's called bucking. It's what HBCU marching band dancelines do. The term "J-sette" came from the girls at Jackson state. That's their lines name. I personally think it's so disrespectful to call it that.

  • Why are guys dancing like majorettes, shakers or whatever?

  • I can't answer that for everybody.... Everyone does things for their own reason. I'm sure you really don't even care.

  • Well I disagree with direpectful. Why can't it be honorable? I don't know much about the actual HBCU dancelines but weren't the J-Settes like the first? Or the best(by majority opinion of course)?

  • Not "weren't".... they were and still are. It's called 'bucking'...not "J-setting".... You can't even do a search for the real J-settes on the internet without finding all these boy teams. It's not the dancing that's disrespectful..it's what people call it. I makes it seem as though they endorse it...when in all actuality they have no connection or relation to it. No one actually does the counts that the real J-settes do. Everybody creates their own "Bucks" and that's what it should be called.

  • Ok, I feel you, and that's what I thought about the J-Settes but I wasn't completely sure...

  • I understand what u r sayin about not calling the dance routines J-setting because alot of people dont J-SETTE....most boys throw battle counts and rap counts which is neither called J-setting or bucking.....the word bucking comes from how the J-Settes dance when they break they backs dancing...not literally but breaking them in watch a couple J-sette videos and u will see bucking and j-sette form in one.

  • I'm mad you walked off that way, lol, but it's good. I like.

  • Normaly I think J-Setting is a mess. It's a southern thing and us West and East Coast kids don't see it. However this was cute. lol It made me want to learn.

  • Hi man you still jsetting or what have not heard from you in a while or two I be sending you messages.

  • Yea im still jsetting, i just been busy lol. Who is this

  • That was really cute

  • Yo you tight you got me wanting to vouge and shyt lol

  • yeah that was hot! it did seem pretty fast, but it was cute! :-)

  • You are good my friend but just try and slow down so that people can actually see your moves aight my friend. Control the set do not let it control you okay.

  • Hey wassup, thank you for your input on my video. The reason i put this fast routine on here is so the girls cannot steal my routine. The reason it looks blurred is because it was done with a digital camera. The routine is not too fast, in fact it is at a good tempo enough for me to teach it, but not enough for someone to catch and learn it within a reasonable amount of time. But again thank you

  • Thas wassup. It's about originality.

  • The routine can still be stolen by ANYONE not just women.. The routine isn't that technical for someone NOT to get it, it's just a fast tempo. A lot of talented dancers can pick up fast tempo dances.
