  • Poster is an idiot.

Buth.is a wonderful composition by Leroy Anderson. Wish I had sent him a letter thanking him.

Wife and I listen to this all year long.

    Excellentrumpet horse!

  • LOVE THIS SONG -- SLEIGH RIDE BY LEROY ANDERSON -- :O

MAKE ME SO VERY HAPPY & FULL OF ENERGY -- :O

  • hey stupid! its leroy anderson get it right

  • here is another top comment. this is the boston pops there pop!!

  • 2:39 - 2:41 TRUMPET i heard m,y school band play and i know thats a trumpet

  • Sounds like Kieth Lochhart conducting the Pops. The crack of the whip was much more pronounced in the Fiedler and Williams recordings.

  • I'd like to hear Steamroller do a version of this song one day... but this isn't it.

  • THIS IS TEH BOSTON POPS I HAVE THE VINYL RECORDING!

  • This IS the Boston Pops.

  • OH AND P.S. IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES TOO.

  • ACCORDING TO SOUND HOUND IT IS LEROY ANDERSON. ACTUALLY IT SAYS LOREY ANDERSON. I WISH THESE PEOPLE WHO ENTER THIS INFORMATION WOULD DOUBLE CHECK THEIR SPELLING BEFORE HITTING THE ENTER KEY. WHAT MORONS.

  • there are some subtle differences in this recording and versions by Pops and John Williams, noticeably the snap of the whip...more subdued here than the others..though true it does not seem like Steamroller, which I went to go see recently in CA....love the music, the graphics and the seating/set up by the casino (crappy) however convinced me to make Steamroller a entity to listen to but don't go see. Noting new played, just CD replays. In fact some of the presentation came across as synced...

  • Wow... Mannheim Steamroller certainly has changed it's sound! If I didn't know any better, I'd swear this was the Boston Pops.

  • @eyesopenuw that's what I thought too but this is how it's listed here heh

  • This is the best version out there!!

  • 1 person will never get a sleigh ride and nothing from Santa except a lump of coal.

  • this is Leroy Anderson-not Mannheim still like the song but wrong artist man

  • @Prancer1231 The "clippity-clop" is much more pronounced than the Boston Pops/Leroy Anderson version, but I agree it's not Mannheim Steamroller.

  • it's me

  • Folks I own all of the Steamroller Christmas albums and they have never recorded Sleigh Ride. This is most definitely the Boston Pops.

  • this is my fav wintertime song...

  • Yes, I'll agree it's the Boston pops. If it is on a Manheim Steamroller album, which one is it? I don't have a Steamroller album with this one on. I do have alot of music from the Boston Pops, and this is theirs.

  • Mannheim Steamroller's albums frequently use musicians that don't sound like the traditional new-agey Mannheim thing. On American Spirit their Fanfare for the Common Man is very traditional, not to mention how many times they've worked with big orchestras like London Symphony Orchestra since Fresh Aire 5. Sunday Morning Coffee also has a lot of different bits of music from multiple artists that sound nothing like Mannheim Steamroller.

  • Huge...OOPS!!!!...Def not Steamroller!

  • I have the christmas cd's of Mannheim and this is not them.

  • I'm playing this right now. Its Mannheim

  • @123swimnerd This is definitely a recording of a full orchestra, but most likely not Boston Pops. The instrumentation is more like unto ASO (Atlanta Symphonic Orchestra).

  • Fail.

  • Is it possible that it was a compiliation disk of various performers and was mis-labeled? It has happened. I found a video on here of this song performed live with John Williams conducting the Boston Pops. And it really doesn't sound like something Mann. Steam. does.

  • Mannheim Steamroller has never released a copy of Sleigh Ride. The Boston Pops Orchestra has, and it's 2:51.

  • This is Mannheim Steamroller. I performed this song in Band so the memory is very sticky. It's also my favorite Christmas song!

  • No, this is Mannheim. I had the CD.

  • hmm not according to the album fråm which the music is taken.
