I did not even know the sequel to City of God existed, the first movie for me was the best Foreign language movie I've seen, hands down.

Lucky for me and by complete coincedence City of Men is on TV tonight on one of the BBC non terrestial channels. If its half as good as the original, it'll be worth a watch.

I doubt this movie stands on comparison with the "city of god" the same producers but not the same director, didnt see it though.

Subtitles.. here on Brasil, like around the world, most screenings are on English, so people got so used to it, that it wont bother anymore. But you actually miss part of the movie just on reading, still it is far away the best option if you dont know the language ( sometimes even if you do ).

that said: it adds on the experience of watching something different.
