  • yes it was influenced as GH is one of our favorie games.

  • I was looking at this game called Guardian Heroes and realised it looked like Streets of Fury and asked myself was this game influenced by Guardian Heroes?

  • This game is a cross between The Warriors movie & Mortal Kombat the game.

Character play like Mortal Kombat, The gang them is like The Warriors

So if your into niche titles this is the one 4 u

  • i wanna see more of this. you dont see games like these nowadays. an awesome pallet of characters and then we might see xbox arcade/psn network gold

  • A beatem up with over the top figher mechanics and the retro live action captures. Interesting.

  • why peoples keep comparing this to streets of rage 3? This game does'nt play or look anything like streets of rage 3, this game is awesome

  • wow this game reminds me so much of Pit Fighter Arcade

  • I just played this game earlier today and it was fun. The only thing I could say it needs is a little more variety with the characters and such, but other than that, it's an entertaining game.

  • Is that Aaliyah in the background at the start? Cool tribute.

  • Greatest Indie game of all time.

  • This is fake right?

  • i bought this months ago and i love it. are you planning to make a sequel or an update? because it really deserves it.

  • Better then Street of Rage.

    This game is DOPE.

  • You should play Take it to the Streets on 2DPLAY(dot)com, basically the original Streets of Fury, though maybe not as in by the same makers. It's humorous even more so and uss digitized actors.

  • Both these games look funny and awsome.

  • This game is amazing!!! Best Indie game I ever played by far. Hell, it is even on par with most classic old school beat-em-ups.

  • This game is absolutely fantastic! I can't stop playing it! This sort of combo system is JUST what the genre needed. PLEASE MAKE SoF2. But if you make SoF3, don't put a kangaroo in it.

  • This game is really good, the 3-plane design makes it really easy to duck and do up attack compared to full-fledged arcade games. The combos are excellent and very difficult to master.

  • Wow, the animations look really smooth.

  • hahaha this game is pure win the fact that you guys just took pictures of yourself for the characters adds a pretty comical mood to the game. and much easier than having to draw each character o_O. Love it! XD

  • In My Opinion this is what Guardians of the 'Hood should've been. (Guardians of the 'Hood was an old Arcade Beat'em up with a similar tone and also used live actors for animations but was poorly executed.) I don't own a 360 but It's more proof that 2d can be fun when done right.

  • i really really really hope you guy make it online 4 player coop /verse mode i will buy that in a heart beat 5/5 stars

  • i'll buy it. XBL hehe, hope its good.

    does it have co-op offline?

  • you can play up to 4 players on a single console !

  • cool!!

    thanks man!

  • Rah les mecs...faites moi sortir ca sur pc quoi !

Je l'achète directe (j'achète que les jeux inde , et seulement les bons)

  • Guardians of the Hood (Pit Fighter) meets Guardian Heroes with a dash of Streets of Rage thrown in. A throwback to the old beat 'em up days with surprisingly deep gameplay.

Love it! Purchased! Will spread the word!

Look forward to your next game - hopefully Streets of Fury 2 ;-)

  • where can i get this i want it 4 real please tell

  • @xMasterLeex: On XBL in the indie games section. The same screen that shows you the latest demo's and vids available.

  • I bought this the day it came out. It reminds me a lot of Guardians of the Hood. You guys should attempt to get the sequel onto the Arcade. Having achievements would earn you more sales.

  • I downloaded the trial and 10 minutes later I purchased this game. One word. FUCKINGAWESOME. This is like the Streets of rage I wished part 3 would have been. If you guys make a sequel you need to add online play, some sort of character leveling system, enemies that have their own look, and 5.1 surround sound. This game should get Indie game of the year. FUCKINGAWESOME!

  • Glad you're enjoying the game ! SPREAD THE FURY !

  • Im glad Im not the only one who didn't enjoy Streets of Rage 3 as much. Still love the second one. The one Beat 'Em Up I never get tired of playing, which is 2.

  • @shrek187: Yeah, for the life of me I can't figure out what made Sega add a cyborg and a kangaroo to a game that didn't need those gimmicks. And it felt like the music took a dive as well. But yeah Streets of Rage 2 is still my all time favorite side scroller beat em up. Streets of Fury kinda took me back to it.

  • Even the graphics looked like they took a step back as well, but yeah this game really feels close to it.

  • @Turbomorph

They are making a sequel to Streets of Fury.

  • you should make it online so more people can want it

  • are you planing to make a part 2

  • if part 1 is successful yes why not, we have a lot of great ideas.

  • This looks fun! How many points?

  • only 240ms ;)

  • i love this game so much i really hope you make a part 2. this is the best indie game ever i will save microsoft point for it //streetoffury2 \\ that will be the best

  • game is hilarious and fun

  • Okay, this IS as awesome as it looks. I love it!

  • This looks ridiculously awesome. The name Streets of Fury (Already know inspiration from the title. The moves you guys made, and everything. Im definitely gonna get this. Keep it up.

  • ;) a little bit of rage in the street and a little bit of fury that is fatal.

  • Haha. I will check this out as soon. As Im done with my classes. Loved that stomp move, and that power geyser looked Jawsome

  • yes. Its now available @ xbox live Indie Games!

    enjoy!

  • You made this game?

  • Awesome, I've been waiting for this for a while (for a year actually, ever since you released a playable build for DBP 2008)

  • I really like that "power geyser" move the third guy does.

  • Awesome job! Love everything but the font used in the title screen. A little difficult to read, but I love the style. Also, would love to see more enemy types as well as vehicles like copters and cars. Reminds me of NARC, for some reason.

  • That's hilariously awesome. I'll buy this as soon as it comes out.

  • rofl!

  • LMAO this is hilarious. I don't think I'd care enough to ever finish the game unless there's more to it than the video shows but the concept is fucking hilarious.

  • Oh believe me there is a lot more to it ;)

I invite you guys to check it out next week on xbox live, it should be out.

  • will do. unfortunately for you indie games arent available in australia, though, so ill be unable to buy it even if i do find it worthy of being bought. but again, hilarious idea and execution form what ive seen thus far.
