  • cool tank...awkward music

  • What is this music called??

  • @AylaBriana Mozart's Piano Trio 4 in e Major :)

  • If you keep angels in larger schools the aggression is spread out (as with all schools) that said as a young "child" in late 50's I had a pair in a 20 (with 3 others) that bred and I made my pen money from them... none were aggressive.

  • what is that little white round thing you keep in the corner? what is it for?

  • i dont think you need a co2 system in your tank you dont have enough plants for there 2 be a good balance...just a thought dont want any deaths!

  • Nice tank, what soil brand d'you use for the plants? Nice job.

  • Shikomie,

Gracias.

  • Thank you so much for uploading the chapters of the novela.....Greetings from Florida!

  • I see your angels are already at it. I'm getting rid of mine.

Angelfish might as well be oscars other than they are fragile ontop of all that territorial aggression. If you have more than one, or a breeding pair, you will always have an unsightly beat up angelfish missing scales and fins in your tank.

Its been a total buzzkill for my otherwise beautiful aquarium.

  • I know what you mean. My bigger Angelfish is a complete bully to the smaller one, not to mention he ate most of my cardinal tetras... I'm keeping the little one because it's still young and I hear that if you raise them from small they're less aggressive, but who knows if it's true. :(

  • It's definately not true. :(

My most agressive angel, I raised from the size of a nickle. His fins are pristine while the others look beat up. The others were quite large when I got them first, before the little guy, who is now the same size.

You can luck out with a male and female that get along, but even among sexed pairs its no guarantee. My most agressive one that I mentioned is a male and he has no love for the ladies.

  • Btw, I love the substrate. I'm going to have to get some and put a layer of it over my flourite.

  • What kind of flourite do you have? I would love to have flourite black sand but it's way expensive!

Do you think I would still have chances of luck if I got Angels that are the size of the little one so they pair up one day? It's about an inch or two big. I have no idea how to sex them other than when they actually pair up...

  • When angels get a little larger its obvious which ones are the males. They will have thick bulbous heads as opposed to the females more narrow and sloped head.

Most people who are determined on having angels end up buying them from a pet store and bringing them back untill they've rotated them in and out of their tanks enough to find a compatable pair or even trio with enough work/money.

My flourite is brown. I would rather have black but suppliers in my area only ever stock brown.

  • Hi, I see your drop checker looks blue, what doest it mean? What type of water you use for the Drop checker? from the aquarium water or from another source??

  • Very cool looking gravel, whats it called?

  • It's called Eco-Complete! It's gravel especially for planted tanks, plus it helps with the nitrogen cycle. I recommend it :)

  • Very nice! I am currently getting a reef tank going 36 gallon bowfront, but I have been looking into setting up a larger planted tank. I knoiw nothing about planted tanks, don't know much about co2 injection either or whats the need of it for.

  • Very impressive, I just bought a 55 gallon myself and I'm planning on haiving it heavily planted and maybe adding several killifish. I've always wondered though in heavily planted aquariums how does one keep it so clean, do you use a gravel siphon for detritus? or is it something you would avoid when its planted like that?

  • Actually... I avoid vacuuming the gravel since all the debris is good for the plants since it works as a natural fertilizer and the plants themselves work as a filter!

The only bad thing about heavily planted aquariums is that the light is on a lot and if the water parameters gets unbalanced, you'll get a lot of algae or green water. The green water can be cleared using a uv sterilizer, and as for the algae... a scraper or a nice bristlenose pleco should do the trick. :P Haha.

  • i have the exact same bubble counter as you and it was DAMN EXPENSIVE!!! mine was 59 dollars or sumtin near there! nice viseo though!!

  • holy crap, $59? how big was it? was it an ada or something? i got everything together as a system at green leaf aquariums so i'm not sure how much the counter alone was worth. o.O

  • i have no clue how the fuck it was so expensive but i returned it and got the drop checker for the same price!!

  • Very beautiful how ever way too much c02, bubble per second.

  • Yep, this was right after setting up the CO2 so I was still experimenting with the levels. You can see the bubble counter blue because I barely put it in. Thank you! :)

  • *STANDING OVATION*

What a beautiful video with a perfect song to go with it. I really love what you've done with that fish tank. It looks more amazing every time I see it.
