  • so will I be able to import my sketchup component library to bonzai3d?

  • Would you be able to export the model into other applications like Max, or Maya?

  • @DeathChronx

Yes, you can export in a dozen different formats, including 3ds, OBJ, DXF & DWG (R14 - 2011), DAE, STL, and more. We have lots of users that do this on a daily basis, and many people use DAE in conjunction with the OpenCollada importer for Max, or OBJ for Maya. And the DWG Export can also be used with the "file linking" feature of Max...

You can even download a Free Trial from our web site and try it out for yourself if you like!

  • vista with 4g of ram :p

  • @zongozeng

Yes, we have tried to incorporate the best of all the technologies with bonzai3d!

Large models will consume some RAM, but with 4 Gb, you should be able to work with some pretty large models.

Feel free to download a trial version from our web site if you like. The performance should be relative to the speed of the processor -- and the display redraw will be primarily affected by your video card. (Make sure that you have an updated video driver for best results.)

  • Bonzai 3D is like blender mixed up with sketchup, and that's awesome!!!

i just got one question : what about the performance of my laptop????

will it eat all my RAM like sketchup??? even if i put component like people trees etc...??

  • @zongozeng

Sorry for the delay in replying to you, we somehow did not notice your post until now.

Bonzai3d is quite efficient, and can be used on both laptops and desktops. About the only thing to avoid is the Intel Integrated graphics that comes with some laptops or low end desktop computers. You also want to make sure that you have an updated video driver for best results.

Give it a (free) try, we bet you'll like it!

  • i like bonzai3d.but need sketchup animations and virtual tools like archicad virtual building explore

  • @Mr020guowei

Thanks for your interest in bonzai3d. Bonzai3d does not yet have animation capabilities, but this will be added soon. Also, the navigation tools (including the Walk View tool) allow you to easily navigate your scene so that you can easily walk through and explore your designs. True, it does not (yet) have a gravity feature (this is being added) but you can easily change elevations and go up stairs by "walking" with the SHIFT key pressed -- and there are many other such options.
