i think it would be better to minimize the amount of ships... i mean those ships not like something that every one has, but make it something really expensive and rare.. IMHO it would be gay that every one would have 1-10 ships.. would be cool at low levels to travel on a bus ship lol

I really like the idea of the ships, I'm curious to know more about what you can do with them. I'm sort of on the fence with this, LA IMHO hasn't done anything right since the XWING series...but this looks like it COULD be pretty interesting.

im pretty sure that each class will get more than 1 model. 3 at the least. i mean it did say Corellian Vanguard-Class Light Corvette & Fury-Class Imperial Transport, not Jedi Corvette & Sith Transport. wouldnt be SW at all with just 1 ship per class.

This is the deffinate 2 ships for the beta that it soon to come out. Once the game has been fully released I believe there will be about 10 or 12 ships over all for players. Maybe even some to choose.

I hope they have an expansion in mind for the ships enabling you to pilot them in combat, like the old SWG expansion. The game was awesome until they screwed it with the NGE patch.

@corpral yes, every player gets one ship. This two models are for jedi and sith like they say in the video, but the remaining classes of the game will have their model too.

@ironhidewulf Probably not.  These things are more like "guild halls" or "player housing" that you see in other MMO games. However, they also provide the "quick travel" for TOR as well. Just go to the bridge and pick a planet.

You probably just see them fly through space as a cutscene, and when that is over you regain control and can walk out into a new docking bay.

You dont get one at start. You earn one by following the story and doing the quests. Don't think you have to pay for it... I'd see it this way: There is a quest to kill some guy and he's got a ship. When you kill the guy, you also get his ship. Or something similar. :)

@Xelief i think you start without a ship then once you finish the quests on your origin world you get your ship via quest which allows you to go to other worlds kinda like in KOTOR how you had to go all the way through the taris arc till u got the ebon hawk
