Hank really suffered & the third didn"t suffer as much so I think that makes a difference. Hank Sr. sounds more like he really meant it,but its nice of the third to attempt to follow in Hanks footsteps.There will never be another Hank.

But Hank III isn't trying to be his grandfather and recognizes that they're both 2 very different musicians, but with common roots. I think he sings his grandfather's songs live is more of a cover and tribute thing for him and his fans rather than about his identity with Hank Sr. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong. Regardless, they are two VERY talented artists.
