....I arrived and they said - you get to play the baritone euphonium :ö))) - which is like the tuba but less sexy - hahahahaha - even good for comedy ;ö) Well, oops - hey, but it sounds sexy ;ö) you know! Oh - I would lay down with the baritone euphonium, when the guy, who had to play it, looks so gorgeous ;ö))). Love you Colin!
Thanks soooooooooooooo much for sharing this witty interview. I had a lot of fun by listening!!!!
.... so I bought a mat :ö))))............I need something comfortable to get in shape :ö))))............I took it in my room I lay down to do some sit ups and woke up two hours later ;ö))))) hahahhaha that's quite funny, isn't it? If I catched THIS the first time I laughed for a week!
@GitteParis He said pigeon sphincter...technically a sphincter is any circular muscle structure in the body, e.g. the esophagus, but here he was referring to the anus. Pigeon anus.
Oh I love that.... all the events which the English won were sitting down! We don't like to stand up, do we? And " I needed something comfortable to get in shape...I'd miss my mat now...I take it wherever I go." lol
@missineichen I think I have everything on dvd he's ever done from "Another Country" , " Apartment Zero", "Pride & Prejudice" (my fave) and "Lost Empires" when he was in his early 20's to "The King's Speech" and even if the movie was a turkey, he was always great. Love his self-deprecating typically British dry humour. Too bad he's had so little previous exposure in the US. I guess that's because he doesn't do car chases and such.
@33andahalf have u seen valmont?? i desperately want to see that! i love his humour too. it's his sophisticated way with words that makes him so funny. i've actually expanded my vocab thanks to listening to his interviews lol! i learnt words like "vernacular", "churlish", oh & of course "sphincter" haha
@missineichen- I'm SO very glad you are learning new words like "sphincter". Try working that into casual conversation and amaze your friends!! I suspect, being Canadian we have had a little more exposure to his work than in the US. Lucky us! We probably appreciate the dry English humour a bit more as well. After seeing the clip of Valmont on your site, I will definitely see it although I may need to be restrained in my chair for the duration. The Darcy clip was funny too!
@missineichen I know....where have I been all this time? I never even had seen Pride & Prejudice....until now! I love his eyes, his physique, hair, mannerisms, and yes....very English! lol He's got it all.
Im sorry. But that was a really good interview! They just really got along rather than the stilted stuff you usually see "So.... Hows your family? Got any kids?"
Thnx for this video! Colin is fantastic, as usual. And he looks better and better! Hope he will win the academy and the oscar as well because he fully deserves!

colin is bloody hilarious! "what i cannot bear is nouvelle food. A splinter of pigeon with a grape & drizzled in sesame" haahah
missineichen 11 months ago
@missineichen That was "sphincter" of pigeon, not splinter. That makes it even more humourous - and disgusting!

@33andahalf i didnt know what sphincter means, & i looked it up online... GROSS lol!

I really do think that Craig Ferguson may be the best talk show interviewer around. He really likes his guest and brings out the very best of them.
