This looks like if it's been fast forwarded.... indicated by the speed at which the keys spring up and the overall animated quality that this video conveys.
I could be wrong, and if I am sorry; really a great performance if not fast forwarded.
This is brilliant, I wish I could play this well. But you seem to be having a little difficulty with the left hand when it goes into B flat in the main theme, sounded a little messy there. But otherwise, FUCKING AMAZING.
It's actually one off the differents versions of Cziffra. I got one of the first that he done. Actually, that mean you been deafeated . Soz, but still you have awesome skills. I really have an hardtime around 0:27 .
@TheJgutierrez Same way you do any other. Work on keeping the fingers strong while you slide down. You might need to rotate the finger a bit to accommodate to the keys as well.
haha where'd you get the sheet music for this? i know most of the copies online are questionable, and for example you play the intro with those seconds in the base, which isn't really what cziffra played. makes it harder, but it doesn't sound as good i don't think. but wow what jumping technique!
No offence to Cziffra, but he threw so much crap into this transcription that only he could play it. Admirable work, but in my opinion, the arrangement is overcomplicated.
The arrangement is supposed to be overcomplicated, so what if he threw in loads of stuff only he could play, its supposed to be a benchmark for aspiring pianists, thats why its complicated, if it was simple to play it wouldnt quite be as impressive as it is.
I recently played this piece in a piano recital, and found that with the big jumps in the left-hand, getting the notes right by playing slowly is much more impressive than playing fast without getting much notes right. You need to be able to hear those B-flat minor octaves in the bottom, that's the base of that particular section (the main theme). I'm not saying your performance is bad (it's brilliant!) but just slow down a bit. It's much more impressive.
The Sabre Dance was written (both originally and in the Cziffra arrangement) to be quite fast... which does take away from the music, yes. I've noticed that when orchestras play it as it was originally intended (read: too fast) they get out of sync very easily.
Can you please post a vid with better camera angle? it sounds strange and I don't have so big joy with this...and can you please be more patient and precise with playing some parts? for example in 1:32 it looks like you are hurrying somewhere...but it's veeery hard song, so don't take offence please...
I wrote somewhere...I played it almost without wrong note...
I played it in our school, on some music meeteng, but I dont have recording, because I was a player, not a coordinator of the fest...and please DONT RATE MY COMMENT BAD, I'm only responding to style of this player...I said, well played, it isn't bad, that I said there is some mistakes...

You have great talent and you play this piece amazingly, I must say I am shocked, but Cziffra beats you:)
Besides that , you're the best that I have heard.

It might just be that it's an upright, which tend to sound a bit weird and less defined than concert grands.
