  • Absolutely beautiful and technical!!! Thank You.

  • I'm only familiar with the original tai chi long form. Not the short nor the sword. But this man looks like he has better timing than most other performers on youtube.

  • Really enjoyed this Sifu. Thank You.

  • Why would want to cut yourself before beginning form? the blade of the gim is against your left armpit. If the edge was truly sharp, it would cut your arm.

  • @waymanw69 May be not if it is a traditional gim. A traditional gim is only sharpened at the last three inches of the sword for cutting and stabbing purposes. The rest of the gim is not sharpened for the purpose of blocking and weight balancing.

  • @taijispirit1 I also tend to train each of the variations in emphasis that I know (which are different to the ones you know) daily, so in doing the one form, I end up with so many different applications.

  • @taijispirit1 Yes, I watched the video, especially the last half a few more times after I posted the comment. My lineage comes down from my Sifu's grandfather (Deng Pai Chen) who learnt off Yang Cheng Fu. I'm certainly not disparaging your lineage, I think the latter half is wonderful, there are some subtleties that I wouldn't mind learning. I have some minor variations that I also learnt, either more aggressive or defensive, from both my Sifu and from a friend who learnt off T.T. Liang.

  • This is a very interesting variation of the jian form. The first half is very similar to the transmission of the 54 point that I have learnt, then the last half, while having some similarities has some vastly different moves that fit into the same sort of place. I was wondering if that was a Dong variation or the standard Yang?

  • Such a graceful artist (martial). It would be fantastic if you would be willing to share some simple basic lessons of Yang Tai Chi Sword on You Tube. I fully realize that it took you many years to perfect your form and it would be impossible to "teach" this subject on video. However, "any" instruction would be eagerly received by most of us. Thank You - Gyoshoshin

  • i have a Taiji sword. I would love to learn how to use such a graceful skill.

  • Thank you, Sifu, for posting this video. It is a pleasure and inspiration to watch your elegant performance.

  • Great video of a Tai Chi weapons form. The proper use of weapons is a more advanced level of the internal arts and this is a good example.

  • Excellent form, music,

    above average execution!

    Thoroughly enjoyed and entertaining!

  • Excellent!
