Surely car alarms get set off all the time? BMWs for example have tilt sensors which will trigger if moved, and will set off the alarm. When working with hundreds of cars, surely it's inevitable that car alarms will be frequently set off?
Much better system, I've had a few losses of vehicle as a result of parking my three wheeled fleet of Reliant Robin Vans in MPS parking structures, they kept dropping them down lift shafts, which as a well known company, Trotters Independent Trading, we can ill afford the expense of picking up all the broken fibreglass bodywork.
That's some pretty impressive AI there. How long would it take to retrieve a car from a full lot? Also, what's the maximum number of cars that can be stored? I'd assume that there would need to be at least one empty space in the lot to allow cars to be properly shuffled.
Nothing will happened to him as log as he is inside the car. Human detectors system can be installed in the entrance but it is very expensive.
U can store for as long as you like. Due to system movements algorithm the car will be moved to the far edges of the parking system for minimum handling requirement.
The ceiling height was dictated by customer requirements.
should one plate fail how would it be dealt with by the system or would the whole system stop ? thats is one of the most impressive i have yet seen fast moving and constantly in motion sorting. a real testimant to it builders !!
verry good concept............mind it.

Something just occured to me...what's the point of having lights on in a automated parking garage where the cars are stored?.

Its hard to film in the dark!

Isn't that why we have night vision cameras?

@Rymac91 Walls-of-glass & illumination aid humans detect fire & other-hazards [leaking oil, brake-fluid...]
Built into office, mall, school, apartment... complex Japanese [Thunderbirds] parking SHOULD be the-NORM.

I have a couple of questions
What if somebody left their baby in their car?
Could u store ur car in there all winter?
Why are the ceilings only tall enough for small cars?

There are automatic recovery procedures. If they fail the system will bypass the failed spot until service comes.
