  • I love how they programmed in an entire section that 99% of gamers will never see. Thats what I call a good game

  • I don't know who would think this is a barbarian...it's pretty obvious it's a knight. lol

  • @mojototal i thought that when he was naked but then i saw his helmet XD

  • XD

    Dragon God at tutorial XD

    Beat that now! XD

  • @DudyMetal that would be easier than vanguard

  • @loilero

Not if he was unchained without the spears...

  • that amazing! you get so much loot for doing it that way! (maybe even extra white tendency for killing vangaurd?)

  • so does the vanguard still appear in the shrine of storms world if you kill him in the tutorial?

  • @TommyBShow

yes; I believe that is actually a different Vanguard.

  • when i first beat the vanguard i was like is that it this was easy? Then i see this guy falco punch me and i was like dammnit... Though it was satisfying to kill the later on lol

  • @sakumow7 yeah haha

  • Wow... that is awesome.

  • In the tutorial they should have like a boss attack mode for badass players that could just go through and beat every boss at the default level. That's be bawss.

  • Me: - Hmm now all i have to do is beat this monstrous dragon to end the tutorial.

    Dragon God: - Falcon Punch!!!

    System: - You Died

    Me: - Ya think?

  • Y'know, when Dragon God comes and punches you, it'd be PRETTY sweet to just tap "parry" and use a counter on 'im!

  • Lol man, I just need to get the controls down and I should be fine...totally new to this game and man it's good to play a game that is actually hard!!! XD

  • Do you have to die in the tutorial?

  • @irishcrixus yes

  • i guess you get some extra items for beating the vanguard...but the game is desperate to show you what happen if you die which was unnecessary because if you think about it only an experienced player who probablly have played through the game at least once coulda done something like that so...i think that tutorial part of what happen when you die should be removed...so the archstone shoulda guide the player directly to nexus.

  • @Myoldnamesdontwork ... Then what would be the point of beating the tutorial if you do not get a reward for doing it. The tutorial is there to show you that the game does not mess around with difficulty and it is not for the causal gamer. Also if all u did was get sent to the nexus after beating the tutorial with no reward many people would not even try to do it they would just skip it.

  • you have misunderstand me. i said, if you can beat that demon on tutorial mode you shouldn't get trashed by that dragon boss and get sent to nexus as a ghost, but get sent to nexus directly with rewards, because you probably are experienced player if you could beat that demon with no boost, magic, items, or anything. so that part of the dragon killing you instantly is unnecessary because 1st he couldn't do that when you face him. 2nd that was a dumb way to die. 3rd cheap, cus u die witout a try.

  • @Myoldnamesdontwork true but u do keep all the souls you get lol

  • @Myoldnamesdontwork

Correction. Getting punched out by dragon god is an awesome way to die. It would be cool though if you could do a DS boss rush straight from the tutorial. Imagine King Allant with starting soul level and equipment.

  • @adipiscor no...it is always a bad way to die when you are not even trying to survive! it doesn't matter if it was a dragon god or some sexiest goddess if you dont try to survive your death is as meaningless as your life.

  • AWESOME

  • so there's only one shot?

  • the other boss is dragon god ver y easy

  • the other boss is dragon god

  • @dennisnedry i got the american version last year. im glad i didnt buy the european version then, if its easier

  • the dragon was like "yeah bitch you think your tough"

  • haha really cool! :D Thought it was an undefeatable boss... can you only defeat it in the beginning or can you warp back?

  • I don't get it the game started off where you're walking around killing stuff, i noticed it had tutorial up top, anyway i got to this guy and died, then im in this place and i have no idea what to do. Im guessing since i died the tutorial ended and im now in the real game? But they didn't explain anything.

  • @TheAtheistAussie

you are supposed to die in the tutorial by the axe of the big guy. Than you enter the nexus and the game starts. the maiden in black will tell you what to do.

Touch the first archstone (there are 5 big stones near a stair) and enter the first level. Beat the level and you can enter the remaining 4 stones.

  • @SRADracer Arn't you meant to die by the massive dragon thing at the end?

  • @TheAtheistAussie No, that's optional (and really hard, as you have only one chance and the vanguard can one-hit-kill you) but the reward is great, with plenty of souls.

  • Comment removed

  • after you beat thus asshole the dragon king falcan PUNCHAS your asss and i like WDF MAN A CUTSEEEN THAT KILLLS YOU IN A GAME THATS NOT THE ENDING!? WDF

  • That's skills. At least to me. XD And no wonder; you're Cantonese!

I recently made another Royalty just to try this SOB again and he easily chopped me in half as soon as I zoned in. Came here just to find out what happens after beating that lard ass, and the wtfpwnzj00 punch in the face sure wasn't what I was expecting. Glad I watched this first.

  • Funny how both of those bosses are some of the easiest ones in the game. Especially the Dragon God. That one was just run, dodge, click X to win.

  • is it possible4 to kill this guy on your first play through. if so im gonna make a new char and kill him. or do i need to be higher level, i,e, new game +.

  • @BAD187 after beating the game, you go back to nexus...not the opening tutorial so, yes you need a new character on a new playthrough.

  • is there any way to repair broken weapons?

  • @leifsicool take it to the blacksmith in the nexus it should cost around 400 souls

  • would be funny if u could beat the other boss to and then u get a mesage saying DUDE JUST DIE OK THE GAME IS MADE THAT IN THE TUTORIAL U SHOULD DIE SINCE U DIDNT THERES NOTHING LEFT GO AHEAD AND WALK AROUND IN EMPTY ROOMS U SON OF A ******

  • @luckygozer Lmfao, yeah. The game gives you a message after you beat the Dragon God and it's like "YOU HAVE DEFEATED THE DEMON AND OBTAINED IT'S SOUL... JUST DIE ALREADY, HOLY SHIT!!"

  • Falcon PUUUUUNNCH !

  • The Dragon got a six pack

  • the demons god kinda looks like the dragon god...

  • @patapata51

    it its lol

  • Vanguard is the most incompetent guard ever. He had one job and that was to not let a beginning character get into the Demon God's crib to annoy him. And he fucked it up. He's not getting off lightly for this

  • i feel sorry for his armor repair bill

do u get a trophy when you beat vanguard?

  • Congratulations!

Your reward is a ton of souls and this PUNCH IN THE FACE BY A GOD.

  • first congratulations on beating the vanguard :D but why do they send you to the dragon god boss lol

  • wonder if you had a chance with the dragon god lmao :P

  • lol first time i fought him i was thinking to myself "this is how i will die a fat flying troll?" i was a knight fully clothed good luck winning that

  • So wait...if you beat the Vanguard in the tutorial does that mean you don't have to fight it in the Shrine of Storms or do you still have to fight him?

  • Well really you never HAVE to fight him, thats why there is that whole alternate route to get behind him. Also magic does quite a bit of damage against him.

  • Yes Vanguard will still be waiting for you in his usual location in the Shrine of Storms

  • isnt there a pimped out armor set for you after ur beat the tutorial boss?

  • a couple of heroes/soldier's souls and higher grade healing grasses.

  • lol when i did the tutorial i thought oh shit i am so not ready for this hid behind a pillar and got 1 hitted as a soldier lol

  • i bet if you could fight that dragon at the end, you'd have another 5 minutes on this video killing that bastard lol

  • When you do finally fight the Dragon God he's one of the more depressing boss fight in the game. While visually stunning and crazy powerful (He will one hit most of players if you make a mistake) when I defeated him I didn't really feel like I accomplished much.

  • Both of the incredibly huge archdemons were really easy...it's sad....

  • HAHA so true. Seriously Storm King... do better. Having played this game for a while I've come to realize that for the most part the boss fights aren't nearly as difficult as they once were to me. But what still makes the game addictive is the challenges presented in reaching those bosses... Well, that and PvP XD

  • It's really GETTING to those bosses that's so difficult. I still have nightmares of my time trying to get to the Old Hero and having to deal with those reapers and spirits.

  • LMAO. I HATED that world sometimes. My 3rd character was a faith melee build basicaly just pure faith and a LSoM+5. tons of fun for pvp. I had already beaten the game several times with other characters and was fairly confident. But with a pure magic dmg weapon... that level was HARD.

Another one I hate is the stairwell leading to the blue dragon in 1-4. I make a lot of offensive builds so a lot of times a lucky bolt or throwing knife is all it takes to kill me...

  • That's something about games in general that I've noticed.

The toughest bosses aren't your grandiose monsters with their gimmicks and bluster. The real badasses tend to be those of similar size and ability to your own character, often with terrifying speed and unique moves in the bargain.

Tower Knight? Dragon God? Slow, oversized lummoxes I beat on the first try.

Bosses that impress me? Shiva from Streets of Rage 2, The End from MGS3, and Old King Allant from Demon's Souls.

  • Don't forget flamelurker from this game. He's a few feet taller than you but nothing enormous. Really fast and hits like a truck...a truck doused in gasoline traveling at 90 miles an hour...which is also on fire.

  • I do hate Flamelurker with a passion.

He's no Albert Wesker, but the red-hot bastard did kill me his share of times.

Granted, I always fought him with an overweight equipment load and thereby reduced speed and rolling ability, thereby making it twice as hard on myself. Dumb on my part.

  • I tried to fight Flamelurker in NG+ without a purple flame shield.

    It did not work.

  • @havvyweponsman lolz. there's more to demon's souls than just turtle-ing. dodge rolls gives you frames of invincibility. use that as an advantage.

  • @phuturephunk he's easyso long as you don't hit him with physical attacks cause tht makes him stronger use soul arrow or something it takes a while but its safer

  • but you shoot the end while he's in a wheelchair!

...if your pro and know about it

  • Shooting him in his wheelchair is a pussy's way out for people who don't have the skill to actually fight him.

    That's what "pro" gamers know.

  • @scarabmango don't forget the phantom black skeletons(the ones that never drop pure bladestone :P) and his 2 gold buddies.

  • @scarabmango Considering that the two you named are two of the easiest bosses of their types in the game..

  • If you kill Vanguard in the Tutorial will he still show up in 4-1 (Shrine of Storms)?

  • yes, so you can get 2 gray demon's souls this way. But I think the 1st one is only worth 1500 souls if consumed. Hardly seems worth how long and difficult this fight is as a new character.

  • Allow me to correct myself a little bit. BOTH gray demon's souls are only worth 1500 but if you kill the tutorial one that just brings you one step closer to creating your own Dozer Axe a little bit sooner AND you can consume the other

  • is that the dragon god?

  • i think so, yeah

  • type in demons soul dragon god and you'll get your answer

  • smartass

  • 5:02 Falcon...PUNCH!!!

  • is ur weight affected byt the equipment thatu u have equieped? or whats in ur inventory? plz respond

  • You have 2 weights, your inventory weight is your total weight you can carry

the 2nd is your equipment weight

If this is 50% full or over 50% full you run slower and rolling becomes a pitaful act (like a fat guy trying to roll but failing)

if its under 50% then you run normally and rolling feels alot smoother.

    Item is increased by Vit

    Equipment is increased by End

  • how do u get back to the tutorial when you die or after you return to the nexus?

  • I don't think you can. AFAIK you get one shot and, short of starting the game all over again, that's it.

  • Do you do the tutorial again in NG+?

  • Nope. It's once per character.

In ng+ you just jump right from the credits to the Nexus.

  • WAS IT WORTH IT!!!?

  • @beyako: Yes this is the beginning of the game. Awesome huh?

  • nice!

  • owned

  • Is the Vanguard still at the start of 4-1 if you beat him here?

  • Dragon god was so easy to kill.

  • well, i'd imagine he'd be tough if we didnt have those harpoons.

  • I know you fight him again later but if you beat it here do you have to fight it again?

  • is that big thing the last boss?.....also pwned at 5.05

  • Is the Beginig of the Game.

  • No. It's the first boss. Trust me. The last boss isn't even close to being this easy.

  • I found the last boss to be incredibly easy actually, I solo'd him as I couldn't find any other places to join me after 15 minutes of waiting. [Not talking about the old one boss, he was easier.]

  • He's simple when you get the hang of him. Best advice I could give is when he's getting ready to do his "power attack", for lack of a better name, just run up and hit him as much as you can to stop him, then roll back and block.

  • He's quite hard in New Game + Due to the fact his charge is un-interruptable and it one shots you, but yeah, the bosses weren't what made this game great, it was the fact I knew if I died, t'was a long and painful journey back, they required alot of attention, regardless of how easy they were.

  • new game + hates me. since i chose a build with almost no vit, attacks that took away only a quarter of my health in my first run now kills me in one hit.

  • no he is not

  • i hate when every one compares games with monster hunter, ive played both, and both are there own unique thing

  • nice victory run!!

  • holy fuck lmaooo that actually worked ahaha the removeal of all the fuckin armour worked man smart!!

  • very common strategy... i say more weapons, less armor

  • an easier way to kill it is to pick wizard starting class and use ur spells takes away alot of health but the old one punches u and killes u so it doesn't matter

  • hey he killed me.... is there a way of coming back here?

  • Reminds me of monster hunter. BUT HARDER.

  • Hell yeah.

  • Very nice, you're good.

  • OMG U KILLED IT O.O

i fail at this boss cuz i die in 1-5 seconds

  • can someone tell me how to remove the armour and those thing? and can i revisit every area of the game as i progress?

  • square on the equip screen

  • nice video

  • If you kill the Vanguard in the tutorial, is there another one in 4-1?

  • good question, lol.. i dont think so though

  • if you do kill him you get his demon soul the vanguard called the grey demon's soul

  • Took me a couple of times, but I whipped that dude's ass. I just stayed behind him and kept hackin' away at his ass meat.

  • wasn't there a katana you an get near there?

  • I didn't see a Katana. Was it on the way, or in the room? Cause I searched and didn't find anything. Maybe I looked in the wrong place.

  • from further research i have discovered it was a rumor and it only happens when you get back to this point later on

  • its not a katana hes dual wielding the longsword

  • you misunderstood what i said i didn't say he HAD one but that you GET one in that area...but it turns out its when you get back to this point later on in the game

  • you can get hitless on the tutorial after defeating Vanguard

  • >Shadow of the Colossus for Gamecube

    >for Gamecube

    >Gamecube

    I'm sorry, what?

  • Ugh nice.. i ment PS2 :P

  • ps2.

  • That's not very fair :(

But then again, this game is like that hot chick that keeps abusing you...but you just want to come back to it every day.

  • i almost kill it

  • I actually just did this on my first try!

It's not as hard as you may think. Just follow exactly how this guy does it, stay behind him at all times, don't rush yourself, and he'll be down before you know it.

  • I just beat the Tower Knight and shit myself at the cutscene, I thought it was huge because I happened to stumble upon the last boss of the game or something, but I'm glad this warned me about the dragon god because I would have had a heart attack.

  • @FratelliProductions

    O_O you shit your pants?

  • Was this at the very beginning of the game or when you fight him the 2nd time later on?

  • This is the very first time you see Vanguard at the end of the tutorial after creating a character...so the first time.

  • beginning, if you notice at the top right corner, it says 'Tutorial'

  • Block on these big bosses...lawl, mostly useless.

  • its not that hard... have u ever tried to tell him to stop for fucks sake?

"i`m your master! i recommend you to disobey at once!" XD

  • i beat him using my initial templar knight... they key i think is not to use the lock on mode and use a two handed mode...

i ran around him evading his blade

  • the amount of souls u recieve for killing vanguard is a joke

  • Your suposed to die there, just to show off some nasty demons.

Well at least you get to see the draggon god and some bonus loot.

  • Alas, finally i managed to kill this monster with a priest. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • Duh i tried using tmp knight, but still cannot make it.

  • Wow you are amazing he kill me in 2 hits, gotta go light this time, plain cloths...

  • Awesome, I always wondered what would happen if you beat the Tutorial Boss.

  • what? so if you kill the first boss you can get to the last boss of the fire area? O_O

  • I dont have this yet. But I was wonderin. Is this the boss that kills you in one hit? Then you have to fight it again later on.

  • Yes, that is correct. He will kill you in one or two hits (depending on what armor you start with). And yes, you do end up meeting him later on, he's a real piece of work...

You don't have to fight him later on to go forward, but you can if you want to, and it does reward you with a little something which might be useful later on. :)

  • I couldn't read what it said, what were the items you got from the dead soldiers, i'm guessing they were a bonus for beating him.

  • 5:04 FALCON PAWNCH!

  • Good job!

  • I just started to play this game and I didnt know it was possible to actually defeat this first demon! Amazing!!! Thank you so much for this one, will try latter to remove my armour and do the attack/dodge combo! =D

  • yes it is. u'll need patience.

  • that game can be other consoles excpect PS3?

and by the way..you noticed you only hit him..on the ass?

  • his ass don't attack! :3

  • no not the ass..i meant the he attacking his ass only...

  • you just took that line from prince of persia didnt you?

  • i didn't relise at first XD

  • you better hope that the creators of prince of persia wont this...

because they will sew your ass!!!

  • is this game fun/worth it
