  • you kinda killed the peace and quiet of hang gliding with that loud ass engine lol

  • That is the most amazing invention ever. I just wish they weren't so damn loud. I'm aware of the electric models but hey don't last long enough and the batteries are still heavy .

  • The wind was very low, but kept shifting. Nothing exceptional.

    Glad you liked it.

  • What was the wind like that day? I believe the first pilot had the shortest run I have ever seen in a powered harness. Fun to watch, thanks.

  • Do you know if there are any Eletronic Mosquitos out there? & if so, how's their performance?

  • Guy holdin the clutch zith his teeh< Then he wants FLAPS

  • This video was taken at a sod farm east of North Branch, MN. I know they were headed to meet a friend in western WI. Sounds like your friends.

  • Was a gary in this video

  • @Helicopterpilot16 I do not know. I never got thier names.

  • @railnwings Dang, I do know that the pilot that landed the little kit aircraft is Bruce, He is based out of Osceola WI, my home town. Hes also the one starting the mosquito at 2:13.

Both him and the guy Gary I know fly there hang gliders at a field in North Hudson WI.

Gary is a health teacher in my high school.

  • where did u get your motors?

  • Sure. Just go from the side of the hill like the rest of the free fliers and start the engine when you get low and go back up again. :)

  • who knows ? what is the weight of all engine equ. ?

  • Moter, no moter as long as I get up there, toget some airtime, these mosquitos engs. will save you a long drive u can launch from anywere and thats what i like about that.

  • well i like so much more with out motors

is the thing that is cool about the hand glider

  • @leodanqueretaro i agree with you. but if u dont have a good launch spot they would be a nice tool to have just to get u up there. im guessing u could turn it off and start it up in the air.

  • The video was made in North Branch, MN. After they reached altitude, they stopped the engines and grabbed thermals. They had cell phones with them, so they could stay in contact. Their plans were to go east tt Wisconson and drop in on a friend.

  • so much more fun than driving up shit roads in the mountains and carrying stuff. Where are you, what altitude are you ? I would like to see someone take off at 4500 feet in 85 degrees. Did the guy at cloudbase thermal with his engine off. Again, nice.
