@MrReinhardtd Not necessarily. Evidently you never did see Roy Clark play jazz guitar. the man in his prime was beyond fantastic. You gotta think past "Hee Haw"
Really good ! I thought at first this guy must be a tradesman because the fingers look like plumbers fingers. But they certainly don't play like typical plumbers fingers! :)
jacs91, it sounds like Django 'cause he did this piece as well, only as usual even better. Don't get me wrong. Birelli's one of my faves and does a great job giving the piece that happy go lucky flavor, besides playing it technically very well. Nonetheless Django's version breathes with better phrasing, despite his speed and explosive quickness, whereas this almost sounds like Yngwie would if he were to adapt his overplaying style to Gypsy Jazz.
my god what a solo, bireli is amazing i was fortunate enough to see him polay live and he is a true giant, in the league with michael brecker and coltrane, monk, all those dudes. hats off, now its time to practice.
Bireli - This is the next line in the evolution of Django. Bireli is doing what Django wanted to do. Django wanted to expand his horizon but people would not listen. They thought he was becoming old fashioned. No there is Bireli. I'm so glad he did not deny his roots. Watch this guy and learn. He does it all. No limits. Stop, look, and listen. He is the source!!!!!
That's brutal

You can also put the title of the music: Sweet Georgia Brown :)
After Django, Bireli is the best guitar player that the earth gave us.

Bireli is without doubt the greatest living jazz guitarist!--to compare him to Roy Clark is so ludicrous!!!

@KABRIS1 No, his playing ability.

Stop comparing him to Django, Bireli is a genius in his own rights and belongs up the top where he so rightfully belongs.

Bireli is smoking, one of the best in any genre. This is a very raw look at his incredible command of the guitar.
