Tobias is simply an amazing songwriter regardless of style. Be thankful he is a beloved metal brother. Metal could use more songwriters like him. No doubt he is branching off into many styles,but the fact remains he nails them even if it is not the preferred stlye we would like to hear. I applaud him. A metal God and a songwriting phenom!

Nice song with meaningful lyrics. We, as human beings, all seek love, understanding and acceptance from others, particularly from 'that special someone'. Men & women may be different in many ways but in this regard we are all the same. We all experience the same feelings & emotions, no matter our sex. It's just that women are brought up to be more open with their feelings & in general feel more able to express them, whereas men are taught to hide them & to keep control over them.

the 'metal operas' while kinda strange at times were from the heart. i mean listen to 'another angel down' or 'the tower, there is frustration and wanting that doesn't exist in this one, and there is technical and theoretical personality that is very distinct. those songs sound like avantasia (to me), this one sounds like mainstream bandless rock/metal that can be popped into a playlist without a care and sound okay. needs more actual felt emotion

I can understand what you're trying to say, but if you take in to account songs such as "Anywhere" and "Cry Just A Little" they are not laddened with heavy drums and guitars, and yet they still manage to express the raw emotion that "Shelter From the Rain" and "Another Angel Down" do. This song was meant to be a calmer expression like the aforementioned two. I can feel the emotion in this song. It just depends on your perspective... Plus, it's a beautiful song.
