@m0rtijn I prefer it. I recommend it when you shoot a healthy mix of horizontal and vertical frames, otherwise you have to awkwardly use the top shutter while in vertical model, which is ok for a few shots here and there, but not for all day shooting. Grips add that second shutter and battery power for long shoots. But if I were walking around and taking a few shots here and there, I'd go without the grip to reduce weight. That and a prime also makes for a compact "last resort" camera.
I use a Tamrac medium rolling case which is great for airport carry-ons. Once in a while, however, on smaller planes they will make you check in the bag last minute which I don't mind as much since it's a short travel from the gate to the plane. Maybe fill it with some clothes so there's no movement when they throw the case upside down.
Damn you fit all that stuff in you bag????? Quick question on the computrekker is that the normal one or the computrekker plus? Also don't you worry about your equipment when you jam it into the bag, i know i would
It's the regular computrekker. The plus opens up differently. I don't worry because I've packed this kind of bag several times for several flights. It's not something everyone has to do, but I did it to show people that you can usually fit more in the bag than you believe you can.
No problem. Note that it won't fit with the large tightening knob. I usually just take that off and store it separately, and keep the washers and what not on the arm with gaffer tape.
I've had the Airport Security for about a year now, and never thought about storing a Magic Arm in the side pocket until I saw this. Thanks for the tip!
spotgreen, I can't say for sure, but I have put a 400 2.8 and a 300 2.8 in these bags before. I would say the 500 4 is about the same as a 400 2.8 lengthwise, and thinner, so it can go in the middle. The 100-400 is nowhere near as big as a 300 2.8, so I'm pretty sure you can fit those two in there. However, what else could go around it, I'm not sure. I'll see if I can get my hands on a 500 4 for good measure.
I've seen the review of this bag on the luminous-landscape, but on that review I never thought that so much stuff could fit in there :D Thx for the video anyway!
I just picked up this $350 bag yesterday. Are you satisfied with the front main flap for gear protection. I'm hoping I can stash the Apple 15" in it. I was impressed with how stiff the separators are. This is one point missed compared to other bags.
The new 5DMII will be a nice addition. I don't take clothes to Europe anymore either.
I get what I need when I get there. I use ziplock bags to keep small related gear together. Lighting looks weak on this one.
2) redundant? I've had PW and cords fail, so I always take one more than I need, as a safety.
3) Um, a 16-35,24-70,70-200,300,400,fisheye, and 85 1.8, with a TC are not at all redundant. I used pretty much all of it throughout the 4 days. Remember, its both indoor and outdoor events, from different angles and distances each time.
Ya, I wanted to explain why I was making the video. I made one like this before and people didn't understand why so they didn't respond to it too keenly. And yes, it's all mine. Took years to get, and I bought most of it used, but it's good gear.
You have a bg on every camera. You recommend that?

you're paid too much. you have too much redundant gizmos for nothing, try fly with a low cost company and you'll trow away all that shit.
