over acting much? that thing he does with his hands on his backpack every time he's supposed to "feel" something is so unnatural. very inconsistent with his emotion, it looks like he's not actually feeling it but just going through the cliches of what it might feel like.

Peter's not all that bad. The one thing that gets me the most is his damn gestures; they are so incredibly awkward!

They're not motivated and the ones he tries to do with the backpack just utterly fail him.

As a theatre kid, my director has a huge pet peeve about awkward gestures, and now I share that with her.

I love this play and I love the job Brian does as Peter.. my only frown is that the music is off tempo and it's rushing the actors so that their notes can't be fully sung to the best potential.

He may not be the best singer - but this is a difficult role to create a clear cut protagonist for the audience... I think he did really well.

i think that in everything we do there are imperfections, but what is real about this production of bare, s that the people are infact real. I would play the role of Peter differently and this particular song to me is a lot more of Peter's frustration than an emotional piece,we see this later.Peter's comfortable but Jason is so almost ashamed of what he is or isn't. All actors are comendable,and i think the director should be commended on a very strong directoral, the cast ooze reality well dont
