the sn0wbreeze file opens up as exe not zip and its not extracted

For those out there using Internet Explorer... This download for the ispw will come in the .zip format... When you click save after you click on the link a dialogue box will pop up and ask you where to save it. In this dialogue box where it says all the file name crap you need to change the .zip ending to a .ispw ending to make this work... Hope this helped!!

Some of the issues all you commentors are having are just from not following the instructions to the fullest. & the possibility that your iPod Model may have been updated to a newer firmware version which disables this version of Sn0wBreeze and IPSW restores.

Wait a tick, how about when it gives you an error when you're restoring the ipod/iphone with the custom restore ipsw? Would you need to go through the process seeing the green screen again on your device for it to work properly?

Um, Sn0wBreeze 2.2.1 isn't opening for me. It shows this:

@marayag001 make sure you extract it....if you haven't then right click the file and choose "Extract All" and then it should work

@TheSkiMoto if you downloaded the iPod ipsw from Internet explorer it wouldn't work as internet explorer saves ipsws as a different file type. I used firefox for the ipsw

hey when i first used snowbreeze nd jailbreaked my iTouch (2g mc model 4.2.1) den it worked but my CYDIA woz nt wrkin (main thing fr which i jailbreaked my iTouch) and now when i am trying to jailbreak it again after putting some CUSTOM BUNDLES (.deb CYdia FILES) den after d process completes my ipod touch itunes says ur IPOD TOUCH WILL RESTART NOW bt after it comes in recovery Mode..m not gettin any sollution..HELP :'(

@IceKingXxxRS set up as a new ipod means epmtying your ipod but restore from backup means all the apps,music,and videos you save will go back on your ipod. glad to help :D
