No, sorry mate,as an old Salty, just joined the MN in the end of the 50ties,no trainee ships were overhere,and in those days it was a hard days life, to survive it, but it was all worth, to became a man,never regret entering the MN,and still missing it, having those feelings of the 'good 'ol days',in my opinion!Now retired,and having fun to shoot anything that's floating!

@SouthPortlandKK Hey, I go to mma and was on the TSSOM this past summer. I also live in south portland. I checked out your youtube page and nice work with the videos of ships comming into portland harbor. I help dock the ships at spague, exxon, citgo and gulf.

@deckie1985...Sorry for the add as "marines", but anyway this should mean" to get a life as a merchant navy person",who are gladly trained by the M.M.A.,and hope this Academy stands only for Merchant Navy,but from what I've heard, some will end up at the Marines anyway,no matter,it's good to see that those vessels are in good shape, and still are a very good trainee vessel,said an old Merchant Navy man myself,again sorry for the mistake,but the message "all youngster to get a life"still stands.
