I know how to fix it. I cleaned my USB Connector with a painting brush withe the brush very shirt, or you can use a toothbrush. It was very dirty, with a lot of cloth powder inside it and maybe this powder come humyd and it detects like a charger plugged in. I´ve read somewhere that they replaced the USB board, but I fixed it with a paint brush with short brushes. You can even use a little alcohool on the brush to clean it, but nos so wet. After toing this all I dry the phone with a hair dryer.

This happened to mine, you must have got some dust in your usb port. The clean it with a toothbrush and use a hairdryer to blow onto the port and remove the dust.

Appreciate the advice, have killed aps, done factory reset follwed by hard reset. For the time being the phone is functioning, however usb is still not recognised, constantly says to remove the cable that isn't plugged in. With all share and kies this wouldnt normally be an issue but i recently bought the hd adaptor specifically to plug the phone into the tv....

Hold down the Home button, go to Task Manager and kill all running apps...especially ur SPB Shell...then do a Factory Reset if it allows else restart the phone
