  • Syracuse is 30 miles west of Garrett Indiana [mp 128] on the Chicago division. Gary Indiana is another 75 miles to go. Barr yard of the B&O chicago terminal is 100 miles west. From what I recall Q351 was typically a train bound for UP Proviso yard [former CNW] and Q149 was a Columbus, Ohio/59th street, Chicago Intermodal yard run. Both those seem to be shorter than typical; bad economy?

  • i posted a video of the same line about 40 miles east in Utica

  • Is this video showing trains on the B&O Chicago Line, is the Road Channel #8 160.230 Mhz because I heard one or 2 hotbox dectors on the Garett Sub in Indiana, there was a strong Temp Inversion, normally I can't pull in muchb with a scanner rubber duck antenna from that far away, what line is this? and what radio frequencies are used?

  • This is the B&O Chicago Line with frequency 160.230. How far away were you picking up a signal?

  • from Evanston Illinois to Indiana on the Garett Sub, of the B&O maybe near Plymouth Indiana I can't remember

  • wonder why their not double stacked until the end?

  • i live in fayetteville. Im pretty sure this is the line that runs by carasell mall right?

  • I'm not sure where fayetteville is. This line connects Chicago and points on the east coast.

  • Nice catch on that second train. 5 star!

  • CSX is all the same to me, theyre all Q whatever lol.

  • Great video!

  • Q113 had a very interesting engine lashup. No CSX engines in it at all, 5 leasers and two UP including an EX SP? Nice catch!

  • yes and definetely an interesting lashup.
