and I really have my issues with 2040 but the story line didnt suck as bad as I thought it would <3 regardless I love BGC all the way through. and I had to buy 2040...why? Because Im OCD about the series I collect o_O if there not finished it bugs the crap out of me. LOL

the opening scene of the OVA is a homage to the Streets of Fire. the entire series is full of obvious influences and references :)

Yes, cause Streets of Fire heavily influenced the BGC creators from it's "Nowhere Fast " intro to the closing's "Tonight is what it means to be Young". Another Anime that was influenced and actually featured a rendered scene from Streets of Fire was the classic Megazone 23!

Wouldn't go that far to say the best (Yoko Kanno is a wizz... her jazzy anime soundtracks are a real piece of art :)) but BGC is BGC and it rocks :) Btw, SnowFlaked, BGC aired from '87 till '91. Way better than the 2040 version from the mid 90's. Anyway if you people want some more clips from Hurricane Live (like this one with eng and jap subs) let me know. If you have a particular song to be upped let me know and if it's on the DVD I'll upload

BGC 2032/33 music is still the best of all the anime music. The voice actress do all there own music. And they worked hard on this. Including Vision. Treat them with respect. Not eye candy.
