I think the virtual goods trade goes back to Ultima. I remember that in the 90's and people were buying kingdoms and insane crap like that then. Then Diablo items had the most (briefly) hits of anything selling on Ebay. Crazy money for things that don't exist.

I liked how in the the Thanksgiving video they had a clip of something cool to show as well. Was a nice little texture pack for skyrim. More neat things like that would be cool to see in the future(not just skyrim)

I bought game informer's zelda issue, but before that, I haven't bought a game magazine since like 2002 with Nintendo Power. I never knew anything about GamePro.

I have tons of decorative pointless items in my room, and it is about happiness I think. Plushies remind me of the con I got them at, and my old toys lying about remind me of the fun I used to have with them. But something like digital decorations? I can't get behind paying for that.

Yup.. virtual goods for WoW, and I will never, never purchase those buy only items. An item should never be obtainable via Visa.. seriously. On the other hand, pointless swag such as different costumes and palettes are great I think, even perfect.

SHOW: Is this the first installment? I never noticed this show before, and previous episodes, if any, are not in my sidebar. If so, keep it up, post every week if possible.. I love stuff like this, it's why I started watching The DTOID Show.

Please keep doing these vids they're very entertaining and it's interesting to find out about news this way and also hear the opinions of the destructoid staff about them.

Just one thing though, are you going to keep posting those vids about talking about some game news while playing team fortress that came out on fridays or are these office chat videos going to replace those? Because I really enjoyed those too. Thanks destructoid team.

@Firealchemist24 Lights Out was a fun experiment. Unfortunately, the production was not fun much of the time, with constant technical problems and far more failed episodes than successful ones. It appeared we'd overcome those, so we launched the series only to have them crop up again. So, the series was scrapped.

I used to get GamePro and EGM every now and then from WHSmiths, as they'd import a few American mags to the UK, and remember their articles and reviews fondly. It's a shame to see both are now going to just be archives in gaming history. :(

It's funny how everyone comments on RE controls, while they didn't -change at all- throughout -any- of the games, all that happened in RE4 was that the camera changed from static, to over the shoulder...the controls themselves are exactly the same.

Heck in the RE5 DLC Lost In Nightmares you can even activate an easter egg that changes the camera to the oldskool one, but doesn't change the controls.
