Re his 'Professor' title: Professor and Honorary Professor are official academic titles protected by law in Germany (where he supposedly received the title or nickname). Honorary titles need also be officially awarded and clearly specified. Carrying titles without entitlement is at least misleading and some people get sued for this. There are a few problems: The fancy polarized dielectric insulators will not sling-shot the electrons up to a higher potential because they are not some sort of magic 'energy tapping device'.
The other problem is that there is no 'Poynting vector imbalance', never was, never is, and never will be.
As the rollers spin electrons are induced to migrate radially outwards, pushed along by the 'Poynting vector imbalance' and the polarized insulators that form the rings. The net result will be a high DC potential difference between the center of the SEG and the outer ring. What could be more obvious!!!
Oh yeah, let me see if I pass the SEG quiz: Concentric rotating disks with magnetic rollers. I suppose the main, critical bearings will be magnetic ones. Fancy polarized insulators. It will be set in motion by the 'Poynting vector imbalance' that is completely unexplained with no mathematical models. Re his 'Professor' title: Professor and Honorary Professor are official academic titles protected by law in Germany (where he supposedly received the title or nickname). Honorary titles need also be officially awarded and clearly specified. Carrying titles without entitlement is at least misleading and some people get sued for this. Not a great starter re credibility.

I am from Munich and doubt that the well-reputed University of Munich (I assume the LMU) would give out a professorship just after an interesting lecture. A professorship entails much much more, even an h.c. / honorary one. No wonder, people warn of fraud and scam if even basic titles are not backed-up or checked.

It worked fine 63-years ago, when the first 14-footer was built by engineers and laboreres at Midlands plant in the UK. Materials and financing privided by the late George Hines. 41 VTOL unmanned levity-discs (IGVs) built and flown faster than any rocket, from 1952-1978.

It worked fine in 1946 when the first one was built, and would not stay on the ground. George Hines financed all the early work and a few of the SEG flying models. Later, support was from a consortium of 13 elderly gentlemen who financed the Levity discs as a "fun hobby". In 1967-68, the 10-foot P-11 was constructed and built as a test-bed for what would later be manned/life-supported craft: STARSHIP EZEKIEL, 90-foot diameter, crew of 4. Many SEGs built, and 41-flying models, from 10-40 feet.

Actually, I have read Searl's "history"...Nothing in there that provides proof of any working model, just his claim that he "had" a working model. Funny that it took him no time to throw together the first model but it's taking you guys FOREVER to come up with the "new" model. When will it be done? They are pushed back by "money problem", then "Technical problems", and then when all else fails "Big Oil steps in and steals it" This device is purely whimsical. But this device was invented in 1946 and perfected in the early 1950s. People like Gordon Goodfellow are alive today who would be dead if for not having been around an SEG for a time, 41-flying craft were built from 1952-1978. An 10-footer, the P-11 Series craft, was put thru flight trials in 1977 at Edwards Air Base in California, and in the 1970s, the SNSRC was a huge worldwide consortium. In 1978 the work was suppressed.

Wow, this is really excellent. But, can we please see an actual working model? 30 plus years, many claims, yet never once a working model displayed. What he should have said is, "first someone comes up with the idea, then someone actually makes the thing." Then, guess what, it can be tested. We'll never see anything made because Searl is shamming you all. If you believe him, you've fallen for the rantings of a cheap con man.

This is a way to cause charge migration but that information can only be shared amount members. I can tell you that it takes only a small charge current to amount sum it up to 15kw considering that SEG develops extremely high voltage. I suggest you hold on and see what happens in 2008, because you appear to be the type that only believes what they see and leave it to others to make it happen.

So, we are supposed to get 15 KW out of this spinning baby, voltage times current, do the math!
There are a few problems: The fancy polarized dielectric insulators will not sling-shot the electrons up to a higher potential because they are not some sort of magic 'energy tapping device'.
The other problem is that there is no 'Poynting vector imbalance', never was, never is, and never will be.

As the rollers spin electrons are induced to migrate radially outwards, pushed along by the 'Poynting vector imbalance' and the polarized insulators that form the rings. The net result will be a high DC potential difference between the center of the SEG and the outer ring. What could be more obvious!!!

Oh yeah, let me see if I pass the SEG quiz: Concentric rotating disks with magnetic rollers. I suppose the main, critical bearings will be magnetic ones. Fancy polarized insulators. It will be set in motion by the 'Poynting vector imbalance' that is completely unexplained with no mathematical models. This 'imbalance' in power flow will provide energy to the rollers and keep them spinning.

The real message behind my recent ranting is the moral issue.
There are people that market plastic disks and plastic balls as 'magic water ionizers' for doing the laundry using 1/10th the normal amount of soap. They can make a living at it, but I don't know how they sleep at night.
There was a recent expose on those on-site computer repair people. The put a bad memory DIMM in a computer and you should have seen what the techs were saying. It was outrageous.

Jump forward to 2007. A team of people are trying to build a new SEG. There are delays to get special materials, magnetic bearings, special machining requirements, and it appears to be a large, complex project.
I will predict with 100% confidence that 'complexities' in the design and the project will 'delay' the demo of the working prototype to 2009 and beyond.
