This is the kind of church service that keeps you safe and promote holy living. You seldom find this in the Church today, for it is all high profile church. The speaker, not the service, is the main focus. Altar call is a thing of the past, for many do not have altars just folk raising their hands or coming down front.

I use Sabian AAX, HHXtreme, and HHX Evolutions which are some great cymbals (check em out if you haven't) And I actually use Zildjian ZHT's to practice with because those are cheap cymbals and I don't want to practice with my good cymbals so they could last longer. However every company makes cheap and good cymbals. A good brand from Zildjian is A custom, K custom, and Z custom. Check those out if you haven't

idk..ive played drms for 17yrs now and i teach drums also..but i play with sabians AAX and Kcustom and they both sound good so open your ears to a new sound.

your cymbals sound flat you should get the Zildjian ZHT's those are some good sounding cymbals

have you heard every cymbol that the sabian company has made?? Zildjian are my favorite but i owned sabians too and there are some sabian line that sound similar to the Z .. you jus need to expand you ears like i did

I like how he kept it in the pocket and he still killed it a lot of drummers cant do that. doubling and rolling is good for shedding but when your in service and the annointing is high keep it straight.

You have to be in shape to be a drummer in a Pentecostal church. I grew up pentecostal but I'm glad I'm good old down tempo baptist ;0) I remember getting and busting blisters while playing at my old COGIC church as a kid. I never have that problem playing Third Day and Michael Smith now- LOL

Does COGIC have ANY white bishops or any other non-black leadership?

This church seems to pride itself on being exclusively black, exclusively black in "style" and in bed with Democratic Politicians.

I have noticed COGIC people are immensely preoccupied with clothing, who has the biggest hat, appearences and positions. Everybody wants a title or some kind of special recognition on the front row.

The COGIC was founded as an intergrated church in 1907 by Bishop Charles Mason. It was around the early 20's when Jim Crow law was established that the white brothern asked to be let go as a result of their concern for their lives, we separated and the Assemblies of God was founded by Bishop Charles Mason and those white preachers. As far as in bed with the Democratic Party I would say you have a point; however I am a proud conserative and Republican.

This was not the youth service. There were the evangelism and missions services during AIM!  Why wasnt more shown besides some musicians playing on the instruments? Certainly more was going on than that? Did I miss something here?????

but! then again they had youth church at night in the missions and evangelism room at night...so there is a possibility...i kno...i sang in the youth choir!! :)
