persona 3 was really dark. but then again, the original had you summon actual demons. persona 4 musta been really watered down.

@DarkFrozenDepths I dunno... I wasn't really big on the Persona series until I tried Persona 4, and as far as I know P4 is the only Persona game to use a different world.

So moving to P3 was kinda odd to find that it takes place in the outside world and so far I've just beaten the Monorail Boss near the beginning of the game and I'm actually lacking the drive or motivation to continue.

@TheRamosOnline I was EXACTLY the same as you. Persona 4 was my first persona game, and when I tried persona 3 I actually gave up just where you are at the monorail. However I started playing it again last week and I finished the game yesterday. It REALLY picks up and gets alot better a few hours in. I'm so glad I finished it! If you haven't already I suggest you do, it is totally worth it :)

@Ameya890 Well you gotta put time into the game. I have to admit, it takes a while until you get focused into the real story line, I think it was about 15 hours. Once you do, though, it really pays off as you get wayy into the storyline. Don't judge it until you've at least played it for a while. There's a reason people say this game is good!~

Ive said it before, I'll say it again. The japanese make some fucked up games. Shooting yourself in the head to summon a demon the shreds the enemy to bits in a bloody cutscene.. God bless the Japanese :D

@colonel24567 Continuity reasons aside, I enjoyed the P3 soundtrack considerably more than the P4 soundtrack, especially the boss music. I listen to Mass Destruction at work on my MP3 player along with Burn My Dread and others, I can't say I've gone out of my way to listen to the P4 soundtrack outside of the game ever.

@killakid443 Actually, the male MC's desigin was made for the other characters to compliment, so it'd make more sence for them to make a MC that compliments the other characters, like her Aegis hair, her apperant obsession with pink from Yukari, the red hair from Mitsuru, and probably some Fuuka thrown in (dear god I hope it's not her voice in the english version)

@wonderpierrot I wish they included the choice to play as a fem MC in the original or they could've at least did so with FES since they had all the extra content. I would've like to have seen the differences in the events from the Fems prospective. That's one drawback to this one, imo. There are small amounts of vid segments like this one. Oh wellz, still an awesome game.

@inuyashagem18 i found the first one very limiting, though i like the story better i think. the party members are ai. i hear in this version you can control all party members which is good, and that you can choose from a male or female character. i think that the story is re-vamped some.

be honest with you guys... I like the fact they cut the anime cutscenes. don't get me wrong, i like the anime cutscenes, but if Im going to play through this game again for the 3rd time, i would like to see some variety. On that note, The graphics on this game is pretty good even compare to the ps2 version. you gotta take in consideration that this is a port of a great game and that this youtube video cannot show the best resolution of the psp.
