  • very weak,no compare with clasics Rock N" Roll Stars

  • Me siento como un extraterrestre viendo culturas primitivas, gracias You tube por ese privilegio de observar la evolución de los últimos 100 años de la humanidad.

  • Whatever happened to Dean Webb ? Good singer, sharp dresser, looks cool.

  • I love the way it's so ruff, no editing out the flat notes or when cast members bump into one another or the camera man can't find the instumentalist who's soloing.

  • Amazing video. So pleased it still exists. Fun to watch. Love BILLY FURY so much. A beautiful voice and face so missed. RIP. Billy.

  • @5151emily But Billy Fury wasn't in this clip, his TV debut wasn't until 8 weeks later on the 30th May 1959 (also on Oh Boy!), Were you perhaps thinking that the first singer, Dean Webb, was Billy? There is a slight resemblance.

  • We used to listen to this program every week in 1958 --brings back so many memories - don't have programs like this anymore- great show- thank you for uploading the show.

  • this is great,my mums in this bless her,you gotta love you tube

  • ITV wouldn't have the guts to put a show like this on a Saturday evening now! It's ironic that the only two shows left in the archives are on You Tube forever! Thanks!

  • used to see this show every week was great

  • I'm in love with Cherry Wainer! What a beautiful smile.

  • brings back so many memories

  • I remember this program well, very radical for those days .... ha ha ha, I was 8/9 years old and NEW MUSIC all around ........ Thanks for the post ........

  • this mess is way cool daddy go tell your mama

  • That's great! Are they on amphetamines' .

  • Long Gone is a rocked-up version of the Drunken Sailor

  • Thats Cherry Wainer on the Hammond and Don Storer on the drums is it not?

  • @Miguel1962 deffintly cherry wainer

  • She probably had an enucleation.

  • Song number two is "Tall Paul", which was a hit for Annette Funnicello.

  • brings back great memories!! they dont make shows like this anymore!!! i was lucky to be there watching in those days!!

  • why is the girl wearing an eye patch?

  • fashion, dahling, fashion

  • thanks for the memories

  • what flashed through my mind when it got to 1:22 is how pointy, stiff and uncomfortable the bra's were back then....although I wasn't even a teenage girl yet, they didn't change much over the next 5 years.Yuck!

  • Oh...this is '59? I thought it was '64....well heck,in that case,I had to wait another 10 years for that horrible bra.lol

  • I thought those circle-stitched bras were very neat! I preferred them to today's huge great things.

  • A great show from the late 50's; I've enjoyed the few episodes posted here. I wish all the episodes were available. Dean Webb and Dickie Pride were great entertainers.

  • cherry wainer rocks!

  • Lord Rockingham's version of "Long John" is almost identical to the original recording by The John Barry Seven. Very good indeed.

  • Love Cherry Wainer's version of "Oh, Wait for It, Baby," especially her facial expressions!

  • This is reminiscent of what ABC here in the States did with "Shindig" from 1964 to 1966. Jack Good, who produced "Oh, Boy!," also produced "Shindig!"

  • Thanks for posting this imj22. I believe that the Lord Rockingham XI number was called "Long John."

  • It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye.. :)

  • That's funny.

  • Can't you tell how she lost it? She came around the corner and ran into the girl at 1:14.

  • well at least she didn't do like that killer down in Texas did--he pulled out his eye..and ate it!!!!

  • Oh, i was not burn i think but this real true rock&roll, enjoying guys!

  • Fuck the X factor and todays shit music tv, this is the real deal!!

  • Wonderful musicians they had back then. Really enjoyed seeing this.

  • The eye patch of one of the Vernon Girls, Johnny Kidd stuff too. Great!.

  • Hey - I didn't even know episode 30 had survived. big big thanx for sharing this. - got any more.

  • Great stuff. That guy Reg Price could blow a sax.Pity it never came back again in 1959. Repton

  • Fantastic stuff!! This rocks much more than bandstand did. Nice to see this stuff in the U.S.A

  • simply fantastic!!!!!

    The Vernons girls........beautiful ladies!!!!

  • cor blimey-all respect 2 the poster!

  • Cherry Wainer Lives in Vegas these days, she still has a hammond B3, a friend of mine is in regular contact with her!

  • And she's a youtuber! Seen some posts of hers on some old clips that seem to have vanished... What might be described as an idiosyncratic and highly individual singing style, lol! (I like it though) Just got the Lord Rockingham compilation CD, great stuff...

  • WOW....She's gorgeous!!I'm in love.

  • I'm also looking for show #32, April 18, 1959. This show has Renee Martz in it. Do you have info on where these shows are? Thanks, T J Lavigne

  • It's amazing. Finally after all those years I can see this show!!!! I've the other one since a lot of time.

    Tons of thanks.
