A narration attributed to Anas ibn Iyad al-Laythi from Ja'far al-Sadiq from his father Muhammad al-Baqir reports:
“Umar ibn al-Khattab asked Ali ibn Abi Talib for the hand of Umm Kulthoom in marriage. Ali said, I had kept my daughters for the sons of Jafar. Umar said, Marry her to me, O Abul Hasan, for by Allah, there is no man on the face of the earth who seeks to achieve through her good companionship that which I seek to achieve. Ali said, I have done so.
If Aisha got angry at the Prophet - which she did quite often - she would avoid uttering the name of the Prophet (PBUH&HF). She would not mention the name of Muhammad, but rather used to say: "By the Lord of Abraham" (Sahih al-Bukhari, Arabic-English version, Tradition #7.155 and #8.101, The Chapter of Jealousy and Wiles of a woman).
Once she angrily said to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF):
"It is you who pretend to be a prophet from Allah."

Logically I do not know if any great grandfather married a great grandchild. Umar was too old to marry Umme Kulthum who was a minor herself during Imam Ali death. There is no Sahih sunni hadith in the Sahih sitta to prove of this marriage. Can any sunni bring any of their authentic hadith regarding this.

Logically I do not know if any great grandfather married a great grandchild. Umar was too old to marry Umme Kulthum who was a minor herself during Imam Ali death. There is no Sahih sunni hadith in the Sahih sitta to prove of this marriage. Can any sunni bring any of their authentic hadith regarding this.

I will say about the this Speaker is that his method of reasoning is good, Yes we admit its in our Books, But like Sunni we dont believe in every narration, A Narration should be putted along the history, if its become valid we accept other wise rejects that, My Sunni Brother,.
