my pony had this too. but not as bad. the day after we bought her home she started doing it. i just did 1-2 hours of road work everyday with her and 2 hours schooling each week (getting her in an out line so she was using her back legs) and then it just went away. i have heard that you can get an operation on it , but its very risky, so just try muscling him up and getting him fiiter to see if he improves :)
Good to hear! I've had him home 3 weeks now, and he doesn't ever do it that bad. Every once in a while he'll take a stiff step or two, but nothing to this extent!
Hey, I have a two year old gypsy filly who has done this twice on the right back leg only--and then the next day she's fine!!--what the heck is up with this--it scared the heck out of me when I saw it---how do you treat it?
Looks like stifle lock to me!

Looks like his patellas are locking. My friend's warmblood colt had the same problem as a two year old. He outgrew it and doesn't do it anymore.
