I remember going to the moose games when the NHL was a blurry vision and memory of the past... all we had was the AHL to fill the void, and this unknown Rypien kid came up and made the team. He was an instant fan favourite, and I loved him from the start. After he signed in Winnipeg this summer I was ecstatic. Hockey came full circle for TNSE and Winnipeg. After his passing we learned what an even better guy he was than we had even imagined. RIP Rick Rypien, gone far too soon.
